Doctor Who: The Edge Of Time – We Explore Time And Space In Our Wibbly Wobbly Review!

Game Reviews Reviews

Doctor Who the Edge of Time is an adventure title developed by Maze Theory, it is a Virtual Reality exclusive and is based on the hit BBC show of the same name.

In the game you play as a person who works at a Launderette, however one day your world suddenly turns upside down as time itself becomes glitched, and only you with the help from the Doctor of course can save the world!

The gameplay itself is rather basic but it does feature some very familiar cast of characters from the show, such as the Daleks, Weeping Angels and more.
Also another nice touch is the fact that the actress who plays the Doctor in the show currently (Jodie Whittaker) and is portrayed in this game has allowed her likeness and even her voice to be used in the game too, which is great for those whom are big Doctor Who fans.

The game has some puzzles to solve and several different worlds to explore. Though, it is basic it does well with what it has to offer. We feel that the game just about managed to satisfy us and was lengthy enough to enjoy what was available for a rather cheap simplistic game.

OVERALL:

As a semi die hard fan of Doctor Who, well mostly we just dabble about and watch various episodes here and there.
We are however, very much familiar with the whole Doctor Who universe and have never missed an old Doctor Who episode that has been available to watch. Same cannot be said for the newer series however.
Still we enjoy the show and this game was not a bad take, the effort for the most part was noticed and we enjoyed the ending chapters too.
