(FF7) Final Fantasy VII – The Iconic RPG Celebrates Its 25th Anniversary With Messages & New Logo

The award-winning and highly successful Role-playing RPG, Final Fantasy VII, celebrates its 25th anniversary today after having been released back on January 31st, 1997.

With this celebration the game has been given a new 25th anniversary style logo which manages to feature the characters Cloud Strife, Sephiroth, and Zack Fair. Who all played key parts within Final Fantasy VII and its many spin offs.

Alongside that members of Square Enix both Yoshinori Kitase (director and project producer), alongside Tetsuya Nomura (character designer and creative director) also released messages to fans. These messages also hinted at possible new projects that may be coming in the future, that are linked to Final Fantasy VII.

Final Fantasy VII has had many spin off titles, with the inclusion of the Advent Children movie too. In fact it has seen more spin off titles than the rest of the series put together. With the latest spin off being Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier which is a free-to-play multiplayer battle royale. It includes several features from Final Fantasy VII, including the ability to play as a member of Shinra and take on memorable foes and summons.

In the message from the members of Square Enix, they also added in the inclusion of Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis.

Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is an upcoming episodic take on the original Final Fantasy VII. Also, just like with Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier it is currently set as a mobile and smartphone exclusive. It is also said to be free-to-play, however it will include in-app purchases. A trailer for this game was revealed back in February 2021. However, if you missed it you can watch it below..

There is no word on what the other possible Final Fantasy VII projects might be, that these messages hinted at. However, that being said, fans should not expect them to release until after the Final Fantasy VII Remake has been completed. As many already know the team are still working hard on this particular project, we are also still awaiting news on the second part of this remake, after the first part released back in April 2020.
