Lineage W – New MMORPG Set To Release On Console & PC. Features Immersive Storylines
Lineage W has been announced for both console and PC, including the Playstation 5, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android. It is said to feature immersive storylines and cross-platform gameplay
In the latest article published by the team over at NCSoft, Taek-Jin Kim (CCO of NCSoft) went on to say that ‘Lineage W is a project that pursues the ultimate Lineage’ and that it is a compilation of the Lineage IP over the last 24 years. It will also expand on Lineage’s key element ‘battle community globally’
Both Sung-Gu Lee (head of Lineage W group) and Hong-Young Choi (head of Lineage W development) then went on to talk about the game’s main features and service plans. Saying that the game will take place in a dark fantasy world with full 3D graphics and quarter view, transforming imagination into reality. The game will also offer improved content for pledges and alliances.
It is also said that the game will support ‘AI translation’ which enables real-time communication among players speaking different languages, it will also provide a ‘voice-to-text’ function which will allow converting speech to text.
So far we have been introduced to several of the various different classes, each comes with their own unique storylines. For example we have the Prince with a tragic backstory, the knight who fights for honor, there is also the Mage class as well as the Elf. Pre-registration for the game is now said to be open, and those who take part in the registration will be rewarded with in-game items when the game officially releases.
