Persona Series – Legendary Composer Shoji Meguro Leaves Atlus To Become Independent Freelancer

Game News

Atlus have officially announced that the legendary composer, who is mostly known for his work on the Persona series, has now left the company in order to become an independent freelancer.

Shoji Meguro joined Atlus in 1995 when he worked on his first project with the company, Revelations: Persona. From there he became known as the main composer for the series. Having then worked on Persona 3, Persona 4, and Persona 5. His other works also include role-playing games such as Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne and Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga

However, Atlus have mentioned that they will continue to work with Shoji Meguro, despite the fact he has now left the company. One title in which Shoji Meguro is said to be working on alongside Atlus is the upcoming Project Re Fantasy, which had a teaser trailer release back in 2017.

Though nothing much is known about Project Re Fantasy, it is said to be a new role-playing game and going by the trailer, it seems to features war, tribes, and dragons. If you haven’t already you can watch this teaser trailer below (thanks to GameSpot Trailers)
