Samurai Warriors – The Action Series Has Now Sold Over 8 Million Copies Worldwide

The hack and slash action series, Samurai Warriors, has now successfully sold over 8 million copies worldwide.

The Samurai Warriors series was first released back in 2004 for the Playstation 2 and XBox, its pits players as a Samurai officer who must control and lead their army to success. Taking town and zone districts and occupying bases whilst trying to fend off the hordes of enemies in the process

The series has since released over 8 titles including 2 spin-off games, with the latest release being Samurai Warriors 5, which was released back in June of this year for the Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, XBox One, and PC.

Speaking of Samurai Warriors 5, the game also received its first dlc content yesterday which includes new playable scenarios including; Oichi’s Getting Hitched, Battle for the Legendary Hot Springs, Who Is the Smartest in the Land? alongside new horses and weapon sets

The announcement regarding the 8 million sales comes from the official Koei Tecmo Twitter channel
