There was a few mixed details regarding when the trial version would indeed be released and it seems that a new update (1.03) which is said to of fixed several key issues has been deployed

Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin was announced several days back during E3 2021, it is said to be a ‘bold new vision to the series’ bringing various references from the first Final Fantasy including the Warriors of Light and Garland. It is also said to feature Souls-like gameplay
