The release date for the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion has now been delayed until later this year.
Entitled as ‘World of Warcraft: Shadowlands‘, it is the latest expansion to the award-winning multiplayer online title and was expected to release this October 27th.
However, it was announced over on the official World of Warcraft Twitter channel that the expansion will instead now be released at a later date, though no exact date was given.
The reason for this is that the developers felt that more polish was needed before it could be released.
However, the Shadowlands pre-patch is expected to release this October 13th in preparation for the official launch, so one would assume that a November slot would look likely, though we still of course await any confirmation on an actual date. The expansion does still seem rather close to finishing however and there isn’t too many months of this actual year left
