Wolfenstein Youngblood : Sisters Work Together Against Nazi Forces In Our Latest Review!

Game Reviews

Wolfenstein Youngblood is set after the events of Wolfenstein New Colossus.
The famous hero William “B.J.” Blazkowicz has gone missing and there are no clues to his whereabouts or his well-being.
Thus his two daughters decide to take it in their own hands to try and find him.

The gameplay is interesting and completely different from past Wolfenstein games.
For one this game has a levelling system where slaughtering Nazi will give you experience points needed to level up and acquire new abilities.
There isn’t too much of a grind exactly but there may be a few instances where you will be told that the mission is too high level for your team, this is usually indicated via your team mate telling you so or an in-game symbol.
Of course this doesn’t have to stop you from at least trying to finish the mission, that choice is of course up to you.

There is also the ability to play either solo or online co-op. We have not yet tried the co-op option but if you chose to team up with someone expect to have to register to the Bethesda community page, otherwise the game simply wont let you get any further.
What a cheap way of getting players sucked in you might say? for which we actually agree.
However, if you opt to play solo you will not have to sign up for anything.

There are two characters you can play as both do not differ that much in terms of abilities as all abilities can be unlocked later in the game anyway.
Whichever character you do not choose to play as will aid you during combat anyway.

OVERALL:

The game is fun even if you are playing solo. However, it can get boring as for the most part there is next to no story or cinematic.
You are simply put on various different missions to further locate the location of your father, which can get boring after a while.
If you are happy with a different take on a Wolfenstein game but keeping the same type of Nazi enemies and don’t mind not having much of a story, then this game might still be of interest to you.
