The Rammuha encounter is the first major test of combat in Flintlock Siege Of Dawn. The boss might give you a hard time if you don’t know what to watch out for. Flintlock Siege Of Dawn takes inspiration from Souls-like games and we all know what that means. Dodge and parry, not blind attacks, are your friends.
Knowing Rammuha’s attacks and how to react to them is of paramount importance. Rammuha has two types of attacks: those that must be dodged and those that must be parried.
Rammuha’s Break Attacks – Dodge
Break Attacks are impossible to parry. You will need to dodge them. Luckily, Break Attacks have a red indicator. So, whenever you see red, be ready to dodge.

Spin Break Attack – This one is the easiest to dodge. You can step left, right, or backwards to avoid taking damage and letting Rammuha gain the upper hand.
Drill Break Attack – Rammuha transforms into a drill and comes at you fairly quickly. Be ready for a quick dodge. The silver lining of this speedy attack is the slow recovery. Rammuha takes a bit of time to get back up which gives you precious seconds to hit her a few times.
Glowing Swords Break Attack – Rammuha’s swords glow with light as she attacks you.
Orbs of Light – Rammuha positions herself on the opposite side of the player. The light becomes dimmer. Rammuha calls on glowing orbs and launches these projectiles at you.

Rammuha’s Attacks – Parry
Parrying is just as important as dodging because it fills Rammuha’s Priming meter – the key to defeating the first Flintlock Siege Of Dawn boss.
Triple-Strike Attack – Rammuha jumps and does a spin kick indicating that it’s time for her three-strike move. You have a bit of leeway with this attack as you can afford to miss a parry or two without devastating consequences. However, strive to achieve all three parries for a quicker – and easier – fight.

Spin Strike Attack – Rammuha kneeling is your queue to be ready for another attack that must be parried. After kneeling, she rushes at you with her swords swirling. After the first blow, she jumps into the air and does a horizontal attack as she lands.

Rammuha Encounter Strategy
Rammuha is clad in two-layer armor shielding her against damage. Your priority is to remove both layers of armor. When her Priming gauge is full you can deal a critical attack causing the boss to shed one layer of armor. The encounter has three phases triggered by the loss of armor. As she loses a layer of armor, she gains new attacks, so each phase becomes increasingly harder.
Tip: Use the Ripper Grenade to apply an armor-ignoring Bleed effect on the boss.
First Phase – Rammuha Has Two Layers of Armor
Spin Break Attack – Dodge to either side or backwards.
Drill Break Attack – Dodge it just before she hits. This way, you will counter-attack and fill the Priming gauge.
Triple-Strike Attack – This is the most important attack to parry as it stacks the most Prime.
Second Phase – Rammuha Loses One Layer of Armor
Orbs of Light Attack – These are fairly easy to avoid by not standing in their way.
Spin Strike Attack – Parrying this attack causes the boss to stagger allowing you to deal some damage.
Third Phase – Rammuha Has No Armor
Glowing Swords Attack – This is a longer-than-usual-ranged attack. Put some distance between you and the boss for a successful dodge.
Flintlock Siege Of Dawn pays homage to Souls-like games with encounters that prioritize precise timing and tactics. Don’t approach Rammuha – or any other boss – thinking you will defeat it on your first try. Make your first runs as practice. Get familiar with the moves, learn the telegraphs and markers that indicate an upcoming attack, and practice dodging and parrying.
