The The Runaway Son is one of the many different side quests that you can find and complete within NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139 Remake 2021
There is a total of 70 different side quests in total and they can be found in various different regions as well as sections of the game.
The The Runaway Son side quest involves trying to track down a father’s son
- SIDE QUEST: The Runaway Son
- REGION: Village
- STORY SECTION: First Section
- CLIENT: Villager
- REWARDS:
- REQUIREMENTS: Returned with King of Facade
- WALKTHROUGH:
- You can initiate this side quest by speaking to the villager next to the entrance to the Southern Plains
- Apparently the villagers son has ran off and the only clue we are given is that he wears an unusual hat, hmmm..
- You can find his son at Seafront and by the harbour
- Turns out he ran off because he knew his father wanted him to take up the family business
- We will now be tasked with getting x5 mutton and x3 goat meat
- MUTTON: You can find the Sheep over at Northern Plains
- GOAT MEAT: You can get this from the Goats over at Eastern Road
- After getting the necessary ingredients you will now want to visit the Tavern Keeper over at Seafront
- Our next destination is to go back to the father and report on his son, hmm it seems that his son has still yet to return
- Okay lets head back to Seafront
- As soon as you enter Seafront there will be a resident here who you will need to speak to, he seems to know about the runaway son. Turns out the son is now trying to find ways into Facade
- Take the hint and head to Facade
- Once at Facade head to the far right in order to find a group of masked people
- You will now learn that the runaway son is dressed and disguised as a masked person, just to make things even more complicated
- Anyway, enter the nearby building just next to the masked people
- Another scene with the runaway son will occur, he will then try and run off.
- Attempt to leave Facade altogether and you will now be chasing the runaway son across the desert, sadly even if you manage to run faster than him you will not be able to capture him
- Eventually he will stop and a pack of wolves will appear, deal with them
- Finally return back to see the son’s father once again. However, he won’t be there but it turns out they left a note of thanks on the property door
