Resident Evil Village – Film Puzzle (Puzzle Solution) Guide

Resident Evil Village consists of many different puzzles that you will need to solve in order to continue your adventures, one such puzzle is the Film Puzzle

Film is a puzzle that resides in the Doll Workshop Building area and it involves swapping rolls of film

Below is a quick guide on how to solve this one!

• 

• 

After completing the Music Box puzzle you will end up obtaining a roll of film. The roll of film of course is used for our next puzzle

• 

• 

• In the projector room you will notice that the slider is missing a roll of film, well what do we have? A roll of film! Lets use it!
• You will notice that the slider has a total of 5 different films each one representing a point of history from a newborn baby to a wedding ring
• Our goal is to rearrange these pictures in a certain order, similar to the music box that we just played with
• If you look at the note next to the film you can read a few hints as to what to do…

1. Rose’s best friend in the whole wide world
2. She really likes this fairytale
3. The most important thing in the world to us
4. A wedding gift from grandma
5. Proof of Ethan’s everlasting love for me

STEP 1

• 

• As already mentioned you will want to swap these films out and place them in the correct order
• You can start off by swapping film 4 with film 1

STEP 2

• 

• Swap film 4 with film 2

STEP 3

• 

• Swap film 5 with film 2

STEP 4

• 

• Swap film 5 with film 2

STEP 5

• 

• Swap film 3 with film 2

STEP 6

• 

• Swap film 5 with film 4

STEP 7

• 

• Swap film 5 and film 1

STEP 8

• 

• Swap film 5 with film 3

END RESULT

• 

• After swapping out the rolls of film into their correct places, you can then begin watching the film itself.
• After film finishes the bookshelf will reveal a hidden passageway
• Head into the secret passageway

STEP 9

• 

• 

• In this secret passageway will be a bunch of dolls, one of which will be carrying a pair of scissors

• 

• Look down from here and you should see a boarded up section of the wall, yet it also somehow resembles a possible passageway hmm…
• Use the scissors on this boarded up section, piece of cake!
• Viola! It did reveal a passageway! Okay lets keep going, pick up the phone if you want some extra dialogue

• 

• 

• 

• We now want to return back to the doll room
• With the newly obtained scissors we can now safely cut away the wrapping on the doll, go ahead and so do.
• We will now obtain the Brass Medallion

• 

• 

• Head down the dark corridor now to reach a door with yet another puzzle, but don’t worry it is a rather short one ha!

• 

• 

• 

• You will now have 3 different panels to play with and the solution is simple!
• TOP RIGHT: Brass Medallion
• TOP LEFT: Flying Raven facing East (Same icon as the doll’s eye)
• BOTTOM: 3 Clear Eyes (As seen in the doll’s arm)
