Locating the First Hiddenfolk Stone Ball Puzzle In Hellblade 2

Your first task is to locate the carved stone ball that will serve as the key to unlocking the puzzle. Facing the fractal gate that opens, proceed left and follow the path. You will eventually come across a pedestal holding the first stone ball. Grab it, and prepare for the world to shift as you find yourself transported to a mirrored cave.

How to solve the Hiddenfolk Stone Puzzle in Hellblade 2

Navigating the Mirrored Realm

With the first stone ball in hand, you’ll need to retrace your steps back to the central pillar and place the ball. As you do so, a series of water-like droplet rings will appear off to the right. These rings act as a target, and by standing in the center of the concentric circles, you’ll trigger a change in the environment. The rock blocking your path will now be moved to the mirrored version on the ceiling, allowing you to proceed.

Uncovering the Second Stone Ball

Follow the newly opened path to the right, and you’ll find the second stone ball. Retrieve it and return it to the central pillar to open the gate, completing the first Hiddenfolk puzzle.

Solving the Second Hiddenfolk Stone Ball Puzzle

Continuing your journey, you’ll soon come across another drop and another short pillar, signaling the start of the second Hiddenfolk puzzle.

Locating the First Stone Ball

As soon as you descend to the puzzle’s location, take a right and follow the path up and to the left to find the first stone ball. Once again, the world will mirror, and you’ll need to walk the ball back down to the center and place it.

Manipulating the Water Rings

With the first ball in place, more water droplet rings will appear. By lining them up and focusing your gaze, you’ll be able to move a bridge from the ceiling to the floor, allowing you to access the next area.

Retrieving the Second and Third Stone Balls

Head back toward the platform where you found the first stone ball and cross the newly formed bridge. On the far side, use the water rings on your right to move the second stone ball to the floor. Backtrack down and use the first set of rings to move the bridge back to the ceiling, then take a left to collect the second stone ball.

The third ball is located off to the left side of the gate, but it’s initially inaccessible. Use the rings on that side to flip the two ledges, moving the stone ball to the ceiling and creating a climbable path. Ascend the ledge, focus on the water rings once more to drop the third stone ball, and then place it at the central pillar to unlock the gate.

Navigating the Final Hiddenfolk Puzzle

The third and final Hiddenfolk puzzle awaits you after a brief journey through a cave, leading you to a mirror-like lake.

Locating the First Stone Ball

As you approach the lake, you’ll spot the first stone ball on the left side. Grab it, and the world will flip, allowing you to deliver the first ball to the central pedestal.

Manipulating the Water Rings (Again)

With the first ball in place, more water droplet rings will appear. Use the rings directly ahead of you to flip down a second stone sphere, which you can then retrieve and return to the center.

Overcoming the Draugar Encounter

Before moving on, you’ll need to flip the water rings you just used to access a path on the other side of the lake. Head back toward the starting point and climb the ledge on your left. Turn around and use the rings to create a new path, but beware – you’ll be attacked by draugar before you can continue.

Securing the Third Stone Ball

After defeating the draugar, backtrack down to the main floor and use the water rings to (re)flip the path you just created. Follow the newly revealed route to the right, ducking under the rock you flipped earlier, and you’ll find the third stone ball. Grab it and place it at the central pillar to complete the final Hiddenfolk stone ball puzzle.
