This Stellar Blade: All of Barry’s Side Quests Guide will help you on your journey from Xion, to Edios 7, to the Wastelands. Barry is just one of the residents of Xion that has a series of side quests for you. You can find him at his shop cooking cuisine for his fellow citizens and secretly drinking all the wine.
Stellar Blade: Stubbornness Side Quest
To begin the first of Barry’s side quest, called Stubbornness, talk to him at his shop in Xion after doing the Looking Glass side quest. Barry explains to Eve that he cooks fish, but the scavengers are not interested in getting them for him. He asks if Eve is willing to help.
Your next objective is to sell three fish to Barry. If you already have some in your inventory, then talk to Barry again and select the “Shop” dialogue option. Sell your fish to him. If you don’t have them, then it’s time to go fishing. The Oasis in the Great Desert, where you did the Looking Glass side quest, is a great spot to fish. Return to Barry and sell the fish once you have them.
You’ll be rewarded for completing this side quest with 500 Gold, 12x Small Shrimp, and 3x Fish Slice.
Stellar Blade: Barry and Wine Side Quest
The Barry and Wine side quest becomes available after you’ve completed the Stubbornness and Oblivion side quests. Talk to Barry at his shop in Xion again. He says that he doesn’t want to work because he drank all the wine for the upcoming memorial and, if he doesn’t get more before then, he’ll be in big trouble. He asks you to go to the Petelos Plaza in Eidos 7 and retrieve three bottles of wine.
Travel to Eidos 7’s Flooded Commercial Sector, which you can access in Waypoints by selecting Plaza Entryway, and head to the lower levels to search for the wine cellar. There are enemies in the area that you’ll have to fight or avoid. There’s a store with a neon red sign that says “Liquor” that has the wine you need. Check the shelves around the cellar for three bottles and press the corresponding button to pick them up. Once you’ve done this, return to Barry in Xion.
You’ll be rewarded with 4x Fish Slice, 2x Special Bait, and 16x Small Shrimp.
Stellar Blade: Barry in Trouble Side Quest
The Barry in Trouble side quest unlocks after you’ve completed the Barry and Wine side quest and The Last Wine Bulletin Board request, which takes you back to the same Liquor store as earlier to pick up a marked bottle.
Talk to Barry at his store. He tells you that the wine you grabbed from the cellar was sour and can’t be used. He says he wants to make wine himself and that there are grapes in the Wasteland. Barry gives you the location.
Head to the location north of the Solar Tower in the Wasteland. There is a cave marked by two green trees with enemies in front of it. Inside the cave is a lake with an island in the middle. Swim to the island and collect three of the glowing grapes on the vines. You can also scan the area to help you spot the grapes. Approach and select the corresponding button to collect them.
Return to Barry once you have all three grapes. Barry admits that he drank all the wine you brought him earlier when you give him the grapes. Eve forgives him, but when she leaves he admits to himself that he is going to drink the wine he plans on making.
You’ll be rewarded with 8x Small Shrimp, 300 Fishing Score, and 2x Fish Slice.
