The Stellar Blade: Encounter side quest only becomes available after meeting a couple of prerequisites. First, you must defeat the Alpha Naytiba in Matrix 11. Then, you have to complete the Scavenger’s Story, the first side quest Kaya gives you when you meet her at Sister’s Junk in Xion. To begin the next quest in her story, you have to reach Level 2 Affinity with Kaya. This can be obtained by purchasing items from her at her shop.
This quest takes Eve from Xion to the Great Desert in search of Kaya’s sister, who has been missing since they were attacked. Kaya still holds onto hope, but Eve discovers a formidable boss that may have spelled doom for Kaya’s sister.
Beginning the Stellar Blade: Encounter Side Quest
To begin the Encounter side quest, speak to Kaya at Sister’s Junk in Xion. If you haven’t reached Level 2 Affinity with her then purchase items from her store until you do. A cutscene automatically plays if you’re at a high enough Affinity.
Kaya shyly admits that she has a favor to ask Eve about her missing sister, Kara. Kaya explains that they got separated in the Great Desert when a giant monster attacked them. She asks Eve if she can find her.
Fight the Behemoth
Your first objective is to go to the Northern Great Desert and begin your search for Kara. The area is surrounded by rock, but there is a gap that you can enter through. It’s along the side of the circular rock formation and it’s visible on your map where the marker is.
Before you get the chance to investigate the area for Kara, you’re attacked by a large Behemoth. The Behemoth is a four-legged Naytiba similar to the smaller ones in the Great Desert. This creature is much more formidable. It has a variety of attacks such as charging and long-range. You can fight it by getting in close and parrying its attacks.
Once the Behemoth has been defeated, you’ll earn the Bronze Trophy called Behemoth. You can pick up the loot that the creature drops, such as Extreme, Advanced, and Regular Polymer Material, Nano Element, and more. All these items can be used to craft or upgrade Exospines, Nano Suits, and more.
Search for Kara
Now that the giant Naytiba has been defeated, you can continue searching the area for Kaya’s sister. There is a corpse to the left of the entrance leaning against a rock. You can scan the area and it’ll be marked on your screen as “Human”.
Approach the body of the woman and interact with it. The memory stick is still intact and Eve uses it to ID the body. Unfortunately, it is Kaya’s sister Kara and now she must return with the news.
Rewards for Stellar Blade: Encounter Side Quest
The question “Return to client now?” appears on your screen after interacting with the body. If you still wish to explore the area, then select “No”. If you are ready to return to Kaya at Sister’s Junk, then select “Yes”.
Speak to Kaya and select the dialogue option “Sister’s Memory stick” when it appears. Eve gives Kaya the memory stick and tells her how she got it. Kaya admits she knew her sister probably hadn’t survived but she was holding onto hope. Kaya is upset but grateful and optimistic.
You’re rewarded for completing the Stellar Blade: Encounter side quest with 1000 Gold, 10x Extreme Polymer Material, 20x Advanced Polymer Material, 30x Polymer Material, a Sky Ace Nano Suit, and the Sisterly Love Silver Trophy.
