How to Complete the Echoes of the Old Battle quest in Where Winds Meet

Players can initiate this quest by heading to the marked location near Battlecrest Slope in the Qinghe region. There’s a nearby Boundary Stone you can use to teleport to the area.

After arriving, players will find an NPC named Lie Bumie who’s trying to eavesdrop. Speak with him and enter the gate. In this stage, players must defeat a group of enemies and eventually face a boss named Zhang Bao.

Lighting The Fire Braziers And Dealing With Zhang Bao

After defeating Zhang Bao, open the chest nearby and you’ll get the clue to the next part of the quest.

Light the flame contraption that’ll appear next to the chest. Next, follow the other quest marker and light the one above the red gate.

Head back to the first flame contraption and walk onto the circular platform in front of it. Use the Mighty Drop skill to break the ground and reach the lower level via the newly revealed stairs. Continue downstairs and follow the path toward the corpse. Inspect the corpse to obtain the Yanyun Oath gesture.

Solving The Wall Puzzle In Where Winds Meet Echoes of Old Battles

Now, take the path on the left, which will lead you to the Northern Vow statue. Approach it and use the Yangyun Oath gesture to unlock the stone gate in front of it.

Now comes the tough part. Players will have to solve a puzzle involving Chinese characters. It will involve having to solve the wall puzzle in the Echoes of the Old Battles quest.

Each wall panel can be interacted with and pushed but only certain ones will actually relate and solve our puzzle. Each time you get it correct the statue in the middle of the room will rotate

Upon solving the puzzle, another gate will open, leading to a waterfall. Walk past the waterfall and activate the mechanism inside the hidden room to power the water wheel.
