After the Heartseeker, the next boss you’ll face in Where Winds Meet is Qingye the Witch, who is much tougher than the former. While her attacks are similar, Qingye has more phases and deadlier moves. Fighting and defeating her is part of the For Whom Does He Return subquest in the main story.
If you’re finding the fight difficult, here’s a guide that might help.
How to Defeat Qingye the Witch boss In Where Winds Meet
Qingye the Witch has two phases, with the second one splitting into two sub-phases.
Phase 1
During Phase 1, the fight will feel very similar to the Heartseeker boss challenge. She repeatedly swings her scythe and charges straight at you. She also has a few special attacks that cannot be parried.

For example, she’ll charge her weapon and release incoming waves that you can only dodge sideways.
Another move to watch out for is when she flies into the air before landing a massive strike. This animation takes some time, giving you enough warning. Once she reaches the roof, prepare your Meridian Touch and trigger it right as she’s about to land to briefly immobilize her.

Phase 2
Now this is the difficult part. You’ll have to defeat her in both her red and white phases.

The fight begins in her red phase. She becomes much more aggressive here, landing bigger and broader slashes. It’s best to create some distance from time to time, as this makes it easier to parry or dodge her attacks. Focus on deflecting her slashes and dodging any attacks with large swings.

Once she reaches 50% HP (or 75% HP if this is the campaign version of the fight), she’ll float into the air and slam into the ground before shifting into her white form.

In her white phase, many of her attack patterns remain similar, but you’ll see some new attacks here. You’ll often see her disappear into a white cloud before reappearing to unleash a slash. One of her key patterns is vanishing, then reappearing to land two consecutive hits, repeating this twice, then finishing with a final diagonal slash. Always prepare to parry the moment she emerges from her cloud state.

Her white form also uses leaping and slam attacks that must be dodged, as they deal heavy damage.
Keep parrying and dodging through her patterns until her HP is nearly depleted. When it gets low enough, she will generate a barrier and unleash a series of final slashes to end the battle. However, if you are facing the campaign version, she will instead return to her red form for one more phase.
