REGEN in Aniimo Guide – Regen stats, Best Regen Aniimo and How to Increase Regen

Aniimo

REGEN in Aniimo is one of the more confusing mechanics, and it continues to baffle many players even now. Despite its name, the REGEN stat does not refer to HP recovery. Instead, it is related to EP regeneration, which affects how an Aniimo recovers the energy used for its skills. So, if you’re trying to learn more about this stat or the REGEN role itself, you’re in the right place. Here are all the things you should know about REGEN!

What is REGEN in Aniimo?

In Aniimo, Regen refers to both the stats and the role. As a stats, Regen influences how fast the team recovers the shared energy or EP. Meanwhile, there are Aniimo from the Regen role whose job is to serve as the battery of the team.

Just above your HP bar, you’ll see seven spheres, with each sphere representing 10 Energy. This is your EP, or Energy Points, which are consumed whenever you use certain skills. Once you run low on EP, you’ll need to wait for it to recover before you can use those skills again.

You can actually watch your EP regenerate as the spheres gradually fill back up. The speed of this recovery depends on your REGEN stat, so the higher your REGEN, the faster you’ll regain EP and get back to using your skills.

If you want your team to get EP back faster, just bring a REGEN Aniimo. Somniwing, Besauce, and Hexxin are all great REGEN picks if your team keeps running low on EP. Each one handles Energy a little differently, with some giving EP back directly while others help improve your overall REGEN.

So while they all fill the same general role, the way they support your team can feel pretty different depending on who you use.

Best REGEN unit in Aniimo

Aniimo has quite a few Aniimo to choose from. Some work well as universal batteries that can slot into almost any team, while others are more specialized and only really shine in certain team comps.

  • Somniwing: Best overall and probably the safest universal REGEN pick.
  • Besauce: Another great universal battery that can instantly restore EP and increase EP recovery rate.
  • Erlath: Excellent REGEN option for Water teams.
  • Leafy: Best dedicated Aniimo for Grass teams.
  • Hexxin – Best REGEN option for Dark teams, especially if you also want some crowd control.

REGEN vs Support in Aniimo

Regen and Support can feel pretty similar at first since both are usually there to help your main DPS. The difference is in what they actually bring to the team, though, as Regen focuses more on EP management while Support covers buffs and other utility.

That said, there are still a few Regen Aniimo that overlap with the Support role. Leafy is the dedicated Regen support for Grass, while Erlath is best one for water teams.

How to Increase REGEN in Aniimo

The easiest way to increase Regen is through Capability Awakening and Held Items. Prioritize Regen when upgrading Aniimo that actually scale from it, then equip Held Items that give extra Regen.

You can also look for Aniimo with better starting REGEN Potential if you plan to use them long-term. Just don’t stack REGEN blindly, since some REGEN-role Aniimo still benefit more from HP, ATK, or other stats depending on their kit.

Look for personalities with Instinctive (I) as it gives Regen +4%.
