If you’re trying to get the Banishers Ghost of New Eden Bring it On achievement / trophy, then you must equip eight items that are rank seven (Relic) at the same time. This means, all eight items must be fully upgraded. In this article, we’ll be breaking down what each equipment slot is and how to upgrade them.
Different Types of Equipment
There are eight different types of equipment that Red can wear in the game: Outfit, Saber and Firebane, Rifle, Decoction, Amulet, Wristband, Brooch, Bane Ring. Outfits, Amulets, Wristbands, Brooches, and Bane Rings are all accessories that can be worn and they come with different perks, like Physical Resistance or increased stats.
Decoctions are basically potions that can be taken that will give Red temporary perks, like reduced damage.
Saber and Firebane is the name of the section for melee weapons. They can also come with different perks, like increased damage on certain attacks and perks. A rifle is a long distance weapon that comes with just as many perks and does just as much damage.
Where to Find Equipment
In order to get the Banishers Ghost of New Eden Bring it On achievement / trophy, you need to upgrade each of these eight items and they can be found in various places. Your best bet at getting equipment is either buying it from a merchant, finding it in a chest, or progressing through the story and doing Haunted Cases.
Merchants are marked on your map by a coin purse, so finding them isn’t the hard part. Equipment can be very expensive and having enough Pieces of Eight or Witch Stones (the in game currency) is tedious.
Chests are also marked on your map but there are four different types of chest that you should know about, because some will yield better rewards than the others, but it doesn’t hurt to keep an eye out for all of them.
Cursed Chest, Locked Chest, and Lost Chest usually have the best rewards in the form of various equipment. For the Cursed Chests, you have to find three figurines to break the curse. For Locked Chests, you have to find the key that is nearby.
Blue Chest are just as viable as well, since they typically have material, which you’ll need to upgrade your equipment.
Now that you know where to find the gear you need, you can move on to upgrading it for the Banishers Ghost of New Eden Bring It On achievement.
Where and How to Upgrade Equipment
You can always upgrade your equipment at your shelter. When you choose to rest at your shelter, four options will appear: Rest, Fast Travel, Evolution, and Inventory. By selecting your inventory menu, you’ll be able to see all of your equipment. There will be a golden arrow pointing up in the bottom right corner of equipment that has upgrades available. Select your desired equipment by pressing Square on PlayStation or X on XBox.
Upgrading equipment will improve their bonuses but they require material. Once you select one of the pieces of equipment, you’ll see a wheel on the right hand side with seven circles. This displays the rank of that specific piece of equipment, ranging from rank 1 (Rudimentary) to rank 7 (Relic). If you have enough materials, then you can upgrade by pressing the X button on PlayStation or A button on Xbox.
At the bottom of the circle, the number of materials you need for that upgrade are shown. Materials include things like spectral dust, wild chervil, lilac hyacinth, greene hellebore, scourge accretion, leather, and more. Make sure to hold onto the material that you come across so you can later upgrade your items. The amount you’ll need to upgrade will increase the higher the rank.
Equipping Your Relic Items
Once you have upgraded at least one item from each category to rank 7, turning their statues to Relic, you will then want to equip each item. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be receiving the Banishers Ghost of New Eden Bring it On achievement / trophy.
