Dijkstra is a character you meet while attempting to recruit Quinn in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. However, it is not until later in the game that you will have the chance to fully recruit him. In order to recruit Dijkstra, you must clear an optional dungeon called Chelonian Goliath, Vilashnu.

To find Dijkstra, head to Twinhorne East after completing the events in Norristar. It is advisable to have already recruited Quinn before attempting to recruit Dijkstra. Once you arrive in Twinhorne East, you will find Dijkstra on the western side of the town. Speak to him, and he will ask for your help in finding treasure at the Chelonian Goliath, Vilashnu.
Chelonian Goliath, Vilashnu Dungeon
Chelonian Goliath, Vilashnu is an optional dungeon that poses a significant challenge. When you enter the dungeon, Dijkstra will join your party as a guest. It is recommended to include physical attackers in your active party, as Dijkstra’s Warcry ability can buff the physical attack of everyone else for that round. Dijkstra is also known for his defensive capabilities, making him a valuable asset when facing tough enemies.
The enemies in Chelonian Goliath, Vilashnu are formidable. It is essential to approach each battle with caution, as many of the enemies are miniboss-level opponents. Pay close attention to their attack patterns and adjust your strategy accordingly. Be prepared for physical attackers like Mach Eggs and larger enemies such as Asterion, Earth Dragon, Azhdahag, and Nidhoggr.
Exploring Chelonian Goliath, Vilashnu In Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes
As you navigate through the dungeon, you will encounter various resource nodes and chests containing valuable items. Take advantage of the Orichalcum resource node, as this item is not available elsewhere at this point in the game. Additionally, keep an eye out for hidden chests that may contain powerful equipment or useful recipes.
The layout of Chelonian Goliath, Vilashnu may appear maze-like at first, but it is relatively straightforward to navigate. Follow the path, looting resource nodes and chests along the way. Be sure to backtrack and explore alternative routes to uncover hidden treasures that may enhance your party’s abilities.
It is recommended to start this area and recruitment quest at level 55-60.
Confronting the Boss: Goblomancer and Letus
At the end of Chelonian Goliath, Vilashnu, you will face the boss battle against the Goblomancer and Letus. This battle can be challenging, but with the right strategy, victory is within reach. The Goblomancer primarily uses Sacrificial Brand, a darkness-based spell that inflicts damage on cast and at the end of the round. Letus, on the other hand, uses Sickle Slash and Sickle Storm to attack your party.
It is tempting to focus on defeating Letus first, but remember that the Goblomancer will heal Letus for a substantial amount if his health gets too low. This healing can trigger the Goblomancer to use Fire God’s Sword, significantly increasing their attack power. To overcome this challenge, concentrate your efforts on defeating the Goblomancer while keeping your party healed and protected. Once the Goblomancer is defeated, both enemies will disappear, and you will have successfully completed the dungeon.
Rewards and Recruiting Dijkstra
For successfully defeating the boss, you will receive the Rune of the Mage’s Path, a valuable item that can enhance your characters’ abilities. After the battle, return to Twinhorne East to recruit Dijkstra as a permanent party member. Speak to the NPC where he used to be, and you will be transported back to Vilashnu. At the end of the dungeon, you will find a hidden chest containing Faded Book, Chapter 18.
With Dijkstra now on your team, you can take advantage of his unique skills and abilities to further strengthen your party. Make sure to explore his full potential and experiment with different team compositions to maximize your chances of success in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes.
