One of the more elusive characters in Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes is El Alicanto, who requires a bit of effort to unlock. You can begin the process of recruiting him by continuing through the story until you reach the Snowpeak Pass

Finding El Alicanto’s Location
To begin your quest to recruit El Alicanto, you will need to progress through the story until you reach Snowpeak Pass. After completing the story events in this area, head back to Snowpeak Pass and take the northern path. Follow the winding path until you reach the northernmost trail. Here, a cutscene will trigger, and El Alicanto will appear. He will offer to join your party, but first, he wants to test your mettle in a one-on-one duel.
Winning the Duel Against El Alicanto
The duel against El Alicanto is a test of your tactical skills. Pay close attention to what he says during the duel, as his comments will indicate the action you should take. El Alicanto has two main phrases he shouts, each corresponding to a specific command. When he says, “I stand ready to be tested!” you should choose the “Attack” command. And when he says, “Seize every chance!” you should choose the “Counter” command.
During the duel, El Alicanto will pull his punches for no one. As the battle progresses, he will start using a third command, “Break.” Fill your Break gauge by using the appropriate commands until El Alicanto starts using the Break command. At this point, unleash your Break command to bring the battle to a close. Once you emerge victorious, El Alicanto will join your party.

Once recruited El Alicanto comes equipped with the Muscle Combo. Which is a move performed by both Maureus and Dijkstra. He also goes around calling himself the golden warrior that has been chosen by God.
