Fashionista- Gangs of Sherwood

Game Guides Gangs Of Sherwood

Fashionista is one of the easier achievements to unlock in Gangs of Sherwood. Instead of having to run around the map like a headless chicken for puppets and mementos, all you need to do is purchase an outfit. This guide will show you exactly how to complete Fashionista, so you can work towards 100% game completion.

Purchase the Origin Outfit at Remington Cole

In order to complete Fashionista, you need to purchase the Origin outfit at Remington Cole. If you’re new to the game, you probably won’t have encountered this guy yet. He’s essentially the game’s fashion master and is where you’ll go for any cosmetic changes you want to make to your character.

In Gangs of Sherwood, Remington Cole is described as:

“A proud descendant of a long lineage of weavers, banished from the court after the demise of King Richard. He’s still a lion at heart in everything he fashions.”

There are eight outfits to unlock in total, these being:

  • The Classic outfit.
  • The Marauder outfit.
  • The Resistance outfit.
  • The Origin outfit.
  • The Hunter outfit.
  • The Crusader outfit.
  • The Lionheart outfit.
  • The Prestige outfit.

The Fashionista outfit requires you to unlock the Origin outfit in particular. However, before you can actually unlock this outfit, you will need to make your way through the bulk of the story missions first. You’ll also need a bit of gold to unlock the outfit. (But more on that later).

Once you do purchase the Origin Outift, you will unlock the Fashionista achievement, earning 35 points as a reward. This is actually one of the most rewarding achievements to unlock in terms of points, which reflects just how much progress you need to make in the story to unlock the outfit.

Interstingly, you will simultaneously unlock the ‘Haute Couture’ achievement, provided you haven’t purchased an outfit at Remington Cole before. It’s only worth 5 points but is still required for 100% game completion.

Collecting Gold

As previously mentioned, you will need to farm a little bit of gold to purchase the Origin outfit and in turn complete Fashionista. But because Gangs of Sherwood is such a grindy game, farming gold can seem virtually impossible. Luckily though, there is a solution.

Upon finishing Act One, you’ll unlock the ‘Assault on Ram’ mission. This is an optional mission that most players skip over. However, this boss fight is one of the easiest in the entire game, and as long as you’re sensible with your shots, you’ll be able to take down the Ram in a couple of minutes. And, for defeating this boss, you’ll earn between 5K-6K gold, alongside a boost of the People’s favor.

To farm more gold, simply complete the mission with a different character. After a few repeats, you’ll definitely have enough gold for the Origin outfit, and potentially even another of your choice! Alongside this, you’ll also level up your characters to prepare you for the trials and tribulations of Act 2.

Tips for Completing Fashionista

Completing Fashionista isn’t exactly rocket science. However, there are a few strategies that you might want to employ that will make your trophy hunting even more efficient:

  • Focus on the Story. You won’t be able to pick up the Origin outfit unless you complete the mandatory story missions. So focus on these before you even think about trophy hunting.
  • Pick up the Free Outfits. There are seven outfits up for grabs at Remington Cole, excluding the Classic Outfit that you have equipped as default. And while most of the outfits require you to complete certain story missions and part with your precious gold, two can actually be picked up for free. These are the ‘Lionheart’ outfit and the ‘Prestige’ outfit. You likely won’t visit Remington too often after completing Fashionista, so take advantage of the opportunity by adding two free outfits to your collection.
  • Equip the Outfit. And lastly, don’t forget to actually equip the Origin outfit after you unlock it! If you’re trophy hunting, it’s easy to forget that the items you find have a purpose outside of helping you achieve 100% game completion. But the Origin outfit is easily one of the nicest in the entire game, and if you wanna look good while you tear through enemies, you’ll want to equip it right after buying it.
