This specific guide features the locations to all 8 ghost sightings that you can find within the First Drop – A Vanishing Trace chapter

These ghosts are mighty quick to appear and even more quicker to leave, so it is easy to miss out on them if you are not ready. Thankfully you can redo the chapter by heading to the main menu.

NOTE: These include both Specters and Traces

Once you spot the ghost, quickly take a photo of it. You can gain even more points if you manage to take a photo of the entire ghost in the photo. The key is to aim for the head.

GHOST #1

  • GHOST: Peering Shadow
  • MISSION OBJECTIVE: Search Inside The Abandoned Inn
  • LOCATION: Ichiru Manor – 2F (Room 203)
  • TYPE: Specters
  • MAX POINTS: 1316 Points
  • INFO:
  • After acquiring the postmortem photograph, head inside the inn.
  • As you continue further into the inn, quickly look up at the beams above you. The ghost can be found on the beams.

GHOST #2

  • GHOST: Hands in the Water
  • MISSION OBJECTIVE: Search Inside The Abandoned Inn
  • LOCATION: Ichiru Manor – 1F (Room 101)
  • TYPE: Specter
  • MAX POINTS: 1276 Points
  • INFO:
  • From the last ghost sighting continue on, head into the hallway and turn left.
  • Stop at the next path that leads left, here there will be a pool of water. The ghosts are under this water

GHOST #3

  • GHOST: Man Peeking Through
  • MISSION OBJECTIVE: Follow The Trace
  • LOCATION: Old Building – 1F (Passageway)
  • TYPE: Specters
  • MAX POINTS: 1680 Points
  • INFO:
  • After the brief scene the game will then tell you about traces and following ghosts to various locations.
  • Follow this trace and it will lead you to the Mt. Hikami’s Downfall file
  • After reading this file, quickly look up and you will spot this next ghost.

GHOST #4

  • GHOST: Innkeeper Heading Inside
  • MISSION OBJECTIVE: Follow the Trace
  • LOCATION: Old Building – 1F (Staff Area Entrance)
  • TYPE: Traces
  • MAX POINTS: 1183 Points
  • INFO:
  • From the last ghost, turn around and head back down the hall
  • There will be a pathway to the right, stop here. The ghost will be walking across opposite us.

GHOST #5

  • GHOST: Hanging Man
  • MISSION OBJECTIVE: Find The Place In The Photograph
  • LOCATION: Old Building – 1F (Staff Hallway)
  • TYPE: Specters
  • MAX POINTS: 1302 Points
  • INFO:
  • When you are tasked with looking for a key to unlock the door, crawl back through the gap in the wall.
  • However, just before you reach the other side look up to find this ghost.

GHOST #6

  • GHOST: Man Looking At A Key
  • MISSION OBJECTIVE: Find The Place In The Photograph
  • LOCATION: Old Building – 1F (Staff Room)
  • TYPE: Specters
  • MAX POINTS: 1401 Points
  • INFO:
  • After getting the Key on Red Keychain, a ghost will appear behind you. Take a photo of him.

GHOST #7

  • GHOST: Searching Man
  • MISSION OBJECTIVE: Locate the requested item
  • LOCATION: Old Building – 1F. Owner’s Room
  • TYPE: Specters
  • INFO:

GHOST #8

  • GHOST: Peering Man
  • MISSION OBJECTIVE: Leave the abandoned inn with Hisoka
  • LOCATION: Old Building – 1F (Staff Room)
  • TYPE: Specters
  • MAX POINTS: 1341 Points
  • INFO:
  • After acquiring the book it will now be time to leave the abandoned inn
  • Climb back through the gap in the wall but before appearing on the other side, keep an eye on the doorway opposite you.

GHOST #9

  • GHOST: Staring Man
  • MISSION OBJECTIVE: Leave the abandoned inn with Hisoka
  • LOCATION: Ichiru Manor – 1F (Linen Room)
  • TYPE: Specters
  • MAX POINTS: 1453 Points
  • INFO:
  • As you continue to follow Hisoka out of the inn, you will come across a set of stairs.
  • Slowly descend these stairs and keep your camera pointed at the wall, the ghost is standing to the left of the wall
