This is another optional side quest found within Chapter 8 – Budding Bodyguard. Apparently there are some floating eyeball type monsters lurking around and the Scared Man wants Cloud to deal with them

REWARD: Protective Boots. Unlocks Paying Respects side quest
REQUIREMENT: Slay Mark II Monodrives
LOCATION: Station Way / Scrapyard Back Alley

After speaking with the scared man and getting to know more about the task at hand you will now need to hunt down these eyeball monsters.
You will find them up the ladder at the Scrapyard Back Alley and the eyeball monsters are actually known as Mark II Monodrive
The Mark II Monodrives are actually a bit of a pain to defeat as they are fast and can disappear and reappear out of no where.
They do however have a weakness to any Wind related attacks such as Aero. Thus whenever they become resistance to normal basic attacks it is a good idea to switch and use Wind related abilities instead.
There should be at least 2-3 areas where you will encounter these Monodrives, defeat them all to complete this one.
All of the areas are next to each other so it shouldn’t be too difficult to find the next wave of enemies to defeat.
