In today’s guide, we’re covering the Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn Ascension Side Quest. This quest takes place north of Cape Reunion to talk to a Mysterious Woman who seems to know something about Enki.
Beginning the Ascension Side Quest
Once you have the Ascension side quest, go to the Lodestone on your map in between Sunshelter and Cape Reunion. Lodestones are marked by small pillars with swirls over them. Turn east and go to the leaning pillars in the distance. Speak to the Mysterious Woman with a hood standing next to the pillar. She asks you and Enki to follow her up the cliff. She points in the direction she is headed and then vanishes.
Tracking Down the Mysterious Woman In Ascension Quest
The moment the woman disappears, a marker appears in the distance. Climb the rock, heading in the direction of the distant quest marker, and follow the path. Keep to the right as it curves until you reach the point where there are two enemies. Run past them and follow the path on the left. When you reach the top of this path, turn left and drop down. You’ll see ledges in the distance that you can climb. The woman is on a cliff in the distance and you’ll have to jump some gaps to get to her.
She points in a new direction and disappears. Jump the gaps on the right and continue up the cliff. This location is much easier to get to since you just need to climb that one cliff.
After talking to the woman, she disappears on you again. You can see her appear in the distance. In order to get to her, jump off the south side of the cliff and jump right before you hit the ground to prevent fall damage. Turn right and jump the gap. Use the skull to open a rift, which will take you directly to the woman.
Go to the Cliff’s Summit
Once again, the woman walks to the edge of the cliff, points, and disappears. Head in the same direction and jump the gap. Follow the path straight, jump the next gap, and use the skull up ahead. Open the rifts and use them to quickly travel to the top of the summit where the woman is waiting for you next to an Enki feather.
