In today’s guide, we’re covering Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn Tempered Bonds Snapper Quest. This quest can be picked up from Jung, who tells you about a group of Knights that found a sacred piece of armor. Nor plans to convince the Knights to change sides. Read on to learn how to successfully beat the Commander for the best ending to this quest.
Beginning the Tempered Bonds Snapper Quest
To begin the Tempered Bonds Snapper Quest, talk to Jung at the campsite after you get to Wanderer’s Rest, the second map of the game. He can be found sitting next to a tent by the fire. Jung tells Nor about a sacred piece of armor that the Knights have found. Nor hopes to reason with them and retrieve it. After talking to him, your new objective is to locate the Knight’s camp, which is southwest of Sunshelter.
From camp, take the path heading east, out of camp, and turn right. Cut through the town and continue southeast of the camp until you reach the gate next to a Lodestone. Approach the gate and speak to the sentry, Knight Tieg.
Enter the Knight’s Camp
At first, the Knight at the gate refuses to let Nor pass, even when she demands to see his commanding officer. After she tells him her name, he finally lets her in. Follow the Knight through the desert camp to the middle, where the commander awaits. Approach him and confront him. Nor tries to convince him that his loyalty to the judges is misplaced. Out of respect, the commander agrees to give Nor a trial by combat without the use of guns or powder. If you win, he and his Knights agree to leave. If he wins, he promises Nor a swift death.
Defeat the Commander
If you use any sort of black powder while fighting the Commander, the deal is off and his other Knights will join in on the fight, outnumbering you. In order to finish the quest, you’ll have to defeat all of them.
If you want the best outcome for this quest, avoid using black powder, double dodge, magic, and anything that uses powder. In doing so, you can defeat the Commander and he will honor his word, rewarding you with the Wanderer’s Gauntlet. Report to Jung to finish the quest.
