In this Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn To Death’s Door Walkthrough, we’re covering the first Main Quest of the game. Nor must make her way through the trenches in the midst of battle to aid her fellow Sappers, who are attempting to close the door that the dead are pouring through.
The Beginning of To Death’s Door
The game opens up to a city under siege. Nor knows she’s the best choice for closing the door that the dead are coming through, but her captain refuses. She finally relents and tells Nor where to go.
As you take control of Nor, your objective is to go through the trenches. Head straight and follow the marker. As you go through the underpass, there is a common letter to your left that you can pick up. Continue on and you’ll reach a point where the way is blocked. A tutorial shows you how to shoot the explosive barrel to clear the way. Whenever you exit the narrow gap, an explosion goes off, lowering your health. This is where the game will prompt you to use a Healing Flask.
Learn How to Fight the Dead
Go across the bridge. You’re met with a group of enemies. You can use melee attacks to kill them. Hitting enemies with your axe four times will restore a powder charge. Press on until you come across another enemy, where the game teaches you how to perform pistol disrupt. After that, the game shows you how to claim reputation by killing enemies.
As you continue on, you’ll have to fight more and more dead. You come across a horde but an explosion takes most of them out. After this part, you’re finally out of the trenches. Head towards the destroyed buildings.
Your new objective is to reach Dawn’s walls. The game teaches you how to parry and block inside the ruined city. Go through the gate and cut through the tunnels. You come across a larger enemy called the Eye Gouger, where the game shows you how to dodge a break attack.
Battle the Guardian of the Door
Once he is dead, speak to Haalin behind the gate. At first, he refuses to let Nor in because he doesn’t want her to get killed, but Johara demands that he open it. Approach the barrier and shoot it. Continue straight until the cutscene plays. The Guardian of the Door greets you and you have to fight it. Its health is insanely high and it’s not meant to be defeated. Unfortunately, you and your crew will lose. A cutscene plays where Haalin is injured. He uses this opportunity to shoot the explosives, destroying the door, the Guardian, and himself. The force of the explosion sends Nor flying into the water below.
