Welcome to our first part of the FNAF Secret Of The Mimic walkthrough guide. This specific section covers the game’s prologue. Written from an experienced writer who is also an avid fan of the FNAF series.
The prologue is rather short and I will try to include any and all collectibles and secrets. Let’s begin..

RETRIEVING OUR DATA DRIVER In The FNAF Secret Of The Mimic Prologue
After the first initial opening scene where we are introduced to the main protagonist, Arnold. Who seems to be driving towards his destination and escorted by this mysterious Dispatcher. With a very familiar voice, if you have played the other entries in the series. Also, check out the small toy on the dashboard, Spring Bonnie?
Anyway you will eventually arrive at the warehouse. Our first task is to go ahead and collect the Data Driver from the counter to the left. It’s big and, obviously, very noticeable. This will then allow us to exit the van. Which we can do by pulling the handle. I have found the controls in this game to be a bit strange and it may take some time getting used to. Feels a bit like a VR experience.

Anyway once you have successfully managed to exit the van, go ahead and try to enter the warehouse. You can interact with the intercom. But will be responded by Edwin, an automatic announcer, telling us that the MCM Facility is currently closed. So we need to find an alternative way inside
We can find this alternative route inside the facility by searching for a locked gate to the right. Which seems to have a park of sorts behind it. We can open this gate by interacting with the small lock. Head through and into the rather linear outdoor section. This section will actually take you to the alternative door connected to the facility.
THE MCM FACILITY
Once inside the MCM Facility feel free to listen to the greeted ramblings of Edwin. The doors won’t actually open until he finishes talking. Once that is over with go ahead and proceed. We will then be stopped once again. This time by a small performance from Edwin’s mechanical puppets. How nice..
Wait until this performance finishes. The electricity will end up shortening out. Leaving us in the dark and the doors leading into the next room open. However, these doors won’t open enough to let us access the other side. So we need an alternative way inside.

During the small performance you should have noticed that one of these mechanical puppets resembles an Octopus. I have found this small section to glitch out at times. Where the Octopus is meant to, automatically, move off and out of the way of the path its on. Sometimes it does not happen. There is a small lever next to it. But I haven’t managed to get that to do anything other than continue to bash about with its various instruments. If this, also, happens to you then just reboot the game. Once you re-enter this section again, you should, hopefully notice the Octopus automatically move out of the way.
SOLVING THE THE SECURITY ROOM PROLOGUE PUZZLE
So to proceed on into the next area simply climb up the small set of steps and proceed and walk past the mechanical Octopus. On the other side of it is a door which we can open. We are now inside the ground floor of the facility. These puppets all look incredibly creepy. Especially the elephants. The area is also rather dark but, for now, we have to make do with that.
Here you will want to go ahead and search for the Security Room. The door is locked. However, just outside of this room there will be a small generator. Go ahead and inspect it to begin pulling and activating it. This generator actually restores power to the Security Room.

Once inside the Security Room the Dispatcher from earlier will by trying to talk to us. How does he know we managed to get inside? Is he spying on us? Anyway respond to him by interacting with the small intercom on the desk. He will basically tell us more about Murray’s various mechanical creations. Including one that seems to be having a rather creepy malfunctioning problem. Possessing other objects. Long story short the Dispatcher is, of course, referring to the Mimic.
UPDATING THE DATA DIVER IN FNAF SECRET OF THE MIMIC PROLOGUE
The Dispatcher will also inform us of using an upgrade station to upgrade the Data Diver. This is actually important as doing so will allow us to reach previously unlocked areas. Increase our security levels for each room and floor. At the moment we can only open and unlock basic areas. So lets remedy this.

Go ahead and inspect the large machine in the room. This will initiate our first puzzle in the game. Our goal is to connect the grid and match them all up. We basically want this entire grid to represent the ‘Number 1’. We can do this by moving the small curser up and down as it proceed across this said grid.
First let the curser move through the middle track. Then after that let it ride and proceed through the top track. This will then allow us to gain clearance to our next room…
