Gifted Escapist- Assassin’s Creed Mirage

Assassins Creed Mirage Game Guides

Gifted Escapist is an achievement in Assassin’s Creed Mirage that requires you to collapse 20 scaffolding structures. While this may sound pretty straightforward, Gifted Escapist is actually one of the hardest achievements to unlock in Mirage, because scaffolding structures are so few and far between. Luckily, there is a method to essentially ‘farm’ scaffolding in Mirage, allowing you to unlock the achievement in under an hour or so.

After you unlock Gifted Escapist, you will be rewarded with 30 points/a silver trophy. At the time of writing, less than 0.1% of Xbox players and 0.84% of PlayStation players have unlocked this achievement.

Collapse 20 Scaffolding Structures

Scaffolding is a type of unique terrain in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. You can use it to climb up buildings and enter otherwise inaccessible locations. However, what’s also interesting is that you can collapse these structures to stop enemies from following you.

To collapse a scaffolding structure, you simply need to walk up to it and hold down Y/Triangle. This will initiate a short sequence in which your character tears down the scaffolding. It’s worth noting that this sequence does take a couple of seconds, so it’s a good idea to make sure the coast is clear before collapsing a scaffolding structure.

To complete Gifted Escapist, you will need to collapse 20 scaffolding structures. This might seem easy, but the scaffolding structures are actually pretty rare within Mirage. What’s more, unless you’re aware of the Gifted Escapist achievement, you’re probably not going to take the time to destroy every single scaffolding structure you come across.

Once you complete Gifted Escapist, you will be rewarded with 30 points/a silver trophy, depending on the console that you play on.

How to Complete Gifted Escapist

Because scaffolding structures are so hard to come by, the best way to complete Gifted Escapist is by exploiting Mirage’s map respawn mechanic. Essentially, whenever you walk away from a certain point in the map, that part of the map will reset, and all of the destructible environment, including scaffolding structures, will respawn.

The best way to exploit this mechanic is to head to the Al-Mi’dhana Al-’Ateeqa in Karkh. From here, run to the giant gate near The Greta Garrison. Once you reach the gate, you should see a staircase to your right. Walk up these stairs, and eventually, you should see an area under construction. At the end of this area, there will be a scaffolding structure.

However, you’re not going to be alone. Throughout this area, there will be a few guards, which you should avoid for the sake of convenience.

Once you’ve reached the scaffolding structure, destroy it by holding Y/Triangle. Then escape using the ladder on your left-hand side. Run away from this area for around two blocks’ worth of distance. Repeat until you have unlocked Gifted Escapist.

Alternatively, you can choose to essentially forget about this achievement, and just complete the regular story and side missions, destroying structures as you play. However, there’s no guarantee that you will collapse the correct amount of scaffolding structures, making this method much more unreliable.

Tips for Completing Gifted Escapist

Here are three extra tips that will make the process of completing Gifted Escapist a little bit easier:

  • Evade The Guards. When using the above farming method for collapsing scaffolding structures, you’re going to run into the same guards every time. And every time you return, they will have respawned. Therefore, it’s a good idea to just run past these enemies. This is because engaging them over and over is going to make this entire process take a lot longer.
  • Dying or Reloading Does Not Count. If you die or reload your save file after collapsing a scaffolding structure, that collapse isn’t going to count towards Gifted Escapist. So, whatever you do, don’t die or reload your game as you’ll lose all your hard-earned progress! Instead, you should manually save your game to retain progress.
  • If in Doubt, Run Further. To make the scaffolding respawn, you need to run about two blocks away. However, this rule isn’t set in stone, so if you find that the scaffolding isn’t returning, just run a little further and you should have more luck. Alternatively, you can use a viewpoint to fast travel away.
