Deep Trouble is one of the many optional side quests that you can complete within Horizon Forbidden West.
This side quest involves searching a flooded mine and can be acquired by speaking to Korvend.
- SIDE QUEST: Deep Trouble
- LOCATION: Crimson Narrows
- QUEST GIVER: Korvend
- REWARDS: 1250 XP, 2 Skill Points, 1 Oseram Artificer
- GUIDE:
- This quest can be unlocked during the To The Brink main story mission. Simply head to the Crimson Narrows, north of the map.
- Here you will see a man named Korvend, speak to him. You will learn that there was an explosion over at the mine.
FIND THE MISSING MINERS
- Head inside the mine and head left through the water. Keep following the quest marker.
- If you keep swimming on you will come across a blocked path. Ignore this and continue swimming.
- You will find the miners at the dead end, they will be in a room once you return to the surface of the water.
- Speak with the miners (Thorden and Lokuf)
DRAIN THE MINE
- Our objective now is to find the blockage and drain the mine. Return under water and keep following the quest marker.
- In this next area simply use the ladders underneath the Mine Cart, this will lead to an area with Burrowers.
- If you head into the water you should encounter an underwater tunnel, head through here.
- Keep following the quest marker through a rather enclosed space, we need to make our way back to the Mine Cart.
- Continuing on and Aloy will find the necessary explosives.
- Once you are back in the room with the Mine Cart use your Pullcaster to pull the mechanism in front of you.
- Then jump on this mechanism and make your way to the Mine Cart, here Aloy will be able to acquire the explosives.
RETURN TO THE MINERS
- After the scene it is now time to re-join the miners. You can do this by using the Pullcaster on the blocks blocking the path.
- Speak with the miners.
RETURN TO KORVEND
- Follow the quest marker out of the mine and speak with Korvend to complete the quest.
QUEST DESCRIPTION
Two Oseram never made it out of a mine after a dangerous explosion flooded the tunnels. Without help, they have no hope of escape.
