(HFW) Horizon Forbidden West – In The Fog (Side Quest) Guide

In The Fog is one of the many optional side quests that you can complete within Horizon Forbidden West.

This side quest involves trying to find Garokkah

SIDE QUEST: In The Fog
LOCATION: Tide’s Reach
QUEST GIVER: Fenirra
REWARDS: 6250 XP, 2 Skill Points, 1 Sunhawk Shredder Gauntlet, 1 Tenakth Dragoon.

Head to Tide’s Reach and speak with Fenirra
Our next destination is to the east.

GO TO GAROKKAH’S CAMP

Garokkah’s camp is located to the east of Tide’s Reach, it sits amongst the rocky mountains.

When you arrive you will notice that it is empty and no one is here.

INVESTIGATE THE CAMP

You will then have to investigate the camp. You can find a jar of oil that has been knocked over.

You can also find some tracks too. We need to follow these tracks.

KILL THE MACHINES

The tracks will eventually lead to a bunch of machines, defeat them.

After dealing with the threat proceed to speak with Garokkah and follow him. There will be more machines to deal with.

FOLLOW GAROKKAH

After dealing with the machines yet again, continue to follow Garokkah. Eventually you will encounter a memorial. Inspect the memorial.

FOLLOW THE TRACKS

After inspecting the memorial we will then have to follow the tracks. We will have yet more machines to kill

RECOVER THE MEMORIAL MARKER

After dealing with the machines we now need to recover the Memorial Marker, go ahead and do so. Then after that speak with Garokkah.

Report back to Fenirra to complete the quest.

Note: Shredder Gauntlets have the ability to fire projectiles that slice into machines. If you press and hold the R2 button, you can fully charge the weapon and cause more damage.

QUEST DESCRIPTION

Fenirra fears that her father Garokkah has gone mad after he attacked her without warning. She needs Aloy’s help to find him.
