Shogi is not actually a game that is available to you immediately, you actually have to fund for it in the Quickstarter. It is the Artisinal Shogi Set, once you have funded it enough you will then find it in the Mailbox back at the Yagami Office.
From there you will then need to head to Children’s Park and talk to the Homeless people in order to play the game.
The Shogi Puzzles are actually quite easy and dead straight forward, it does not actually require you to play a full length match.
You simply need to move 1 or 2 different pieces in order to pull off Checkmate and win the match. There are 10 in total to get through.
Also, a quick note Take Back and Time Limit does not matter, just leave those as it is.
Note, if the game asks you to Promote, do so at all times.
SHOGI PUZZLE 1
Simply move the single piece to the right.
SHOGI PUZZLE 2
Move the piece in the picture to the back. Promote.
SHOGI PUZZLE 3
Move the piece in the above picture 2 places up, next to the other one. Promote!
SHOGI PUZZLE 4
Move the piece in the above picture 2 spots away from the top piece.
SHOGI PUZZLE 5
Move the piece in the above picture one space to the left.
SHOGI PUZZLE 6
For this one you will only be moving the 2 in the bottom right box. The first one needs to go in the 3rd line from the top (as seen in the photo). The second needs to go into the very top (again as seen in photo)
SHOGI PUZZLE 7
Move the piece at the very back to the right side of the board (as seen above). The second piece needs to be moved next to the other piece you just moved (image above)
SHOGI PUZZLE 8
For this one you need to move the same piece twice. Take the middle one in the set of 3 and move it up and left (as seen above).
Then move it again up and right next to the other one.
SHOGI PUZZLE 9
Start off with moving the piece from the bottom right box to the place between the 2 pieces (as been above).
Then move the other piece next to the other one (as seen above)
SHOGI PUZZLE 10
First off move the one at the top next to the one on the right (image above).
Then secondly the one in the box on the bottom right next to be moved next to the 2 other pieces (as seen above)
