9D9 Problems is one of the many available optional side missions. It can be found and collected whilst on the planet Tatooine.
This mission will involve gathering information on the whereabouts of 8D8
QUEST: 9D9 Problems
LOCATION: Tatooine – Jundland Wastes (Jabba’s Palace)
QUEST GIVER: EV-9D9 Supervisor Droid
GUIDE:
Head to the planet Tatooine and to the Jundland Wastes and you can find the 9D9 droid over by Jabba’s Palace.
Turns out 9D9 is missing his assistant, 8D8. All we know about 8D8 is that they might have gone in search of a ”better life”
Our objective now is to search for information regarding the whereabouts of 8D8.
If we speak to the various NPC characters we will learn that 8D8 has been spotted around the Jawa village. So let us make haste to the Jawa Village. If we speak to the Jawa over in the Jawa Village we will learn that 8D8 has been trying to steal from them.
From the Jawa Village there will be a door by a rocky wall and a tunnel, just next to the village, here is where we can find 8D8.
It seems that 8D8 has formed a new business and has been making use of what he stole from the Jawa Village
We now need to find a way inside 8D8’s lair. We can do this by using the computer terminal that appeared during the scene with 8D8.
Using C-3P0 activate this computer terminal and begin controlling the droid inside 8D8’s lair. We can then use this droid to solve the puzzle and open the door.
Speak with 8D8 and escort him out of his hideout and into the open. This may require fighting him and lowering his health a bit first. Once he is out in the open we can then safely capture him.
Report back to 9D9 to complete the mission
Upon completion we can also unlock the EV-9D9 Supervisor Droid character for 35,000 Studs
MISSION SUMMARY
- Gather clues about the whereabouts of 8D8
- Find a way into 8D8’s lair
- Escort 8D8 out into the open
- Call in the Salvage Droid to capture 8D8
- Return to EV-9D9
