Side Missions are basically optional side objectives that players can unlock and complete if they fancy taking a break from the main story for a bit.
In order to find one of these side missions you will need to locate the small blue diamond type icons or markers that are scattered throughout the map. Once you have managed to find one simply speak to the quest giver, NPC, to begin.
A lot of these side missions either require you to fix networks, complete uploads, and of course defeat a ton of mean angry men along the way.
Each side mission has its own set of rewards, which usually includes additional XP. Completing all of these side missions will unlock the Friendly Neighbourhood Spiderman trophy achievement.
More side missions become available as you continue to progress through the main story.
This specific page will be focusing on completing the Error – File Not Found side mission
SIDE MISSION: Error: File Not Found
DISTRICT: Hell’s Kitchen
REWARDS: 3000 XP
QUEST GIVER: Police Officer
GUIDE:
Head to the roof of the Hell’s Kitchen police building in order to find our rather unhappy client. Turns out he is a Jameson fan and dislikes Spiderman, I know unbelievable. Though maybe he has a point, in some strange and weird way.
When asked why he is not a fan of the spidey, he then admits that he thinks Fisk will manage to get away. This is due to the truck that was carrying evidence regarding Fisk was just hit on its way to the lockup.
Our job now is to go and retrieve the missing hard drive that contains the Fisk evidence. Just like with some previous missions we will now get a radar on the left side of the screen. This radar basically tells us which direction we need to head in.
The blue squares on the radar represents what direction we need to be heading in, whilst the miles or meters and numbers represents how far we are from our current destination. So be sure to use this radar to navigate and get through the rest of the mission.
When we arrive at our destination we will be able to spot the drives that are currently being guarded by Fisk’s men.
Defeat Fisk’s men and retrieve the hard drive from the boot of the vehicle. We can now return back to the Police Officer and tell him the good news.
Unfortunately the police officer still isn’t impressed with us. He even now thinks that we are working alongside Fisk. What does it take to convince this man? Oh.. a bunch of lovely rockets, quickly dodge the attack!
