Of Rats and Raiders is a long quest available after entering Sacrament in No Rest for the Wicked. In this guide, we’ll cover the third part of the quest. This includes completing the Water Channel and the final parts of the main entrance of the sewer.
For the previous parts of the quest, we have walkthroughs on both the first fight with Darak and the first half of the sewers.

The Water Channel in Of Rats And Raiders
After entering the Water Channel, you’ll see one Risen swordsman fighting two creatures infected with the Pestilence. Two Risen archers are on ledges behind the swordsman and a bridge is on your right.
Head straight through the area to pull the lever on a statue between the two archers.
With this pulled, run across the bridge to get on top of a platform. It will soon rise, giving you access to the upper ledge.
Fight the bowman while moving to the left and crossing the platforms.
There is a statue with a lever at the end of these ledges. Pull it to drain the water in the area.
This allows you to enter the tunnel to the left of the first statue.
This new area is filled with Risen soldiers infected with the Pestilence. Since a moving platform in this area requires you to pull a lever and run, I recommend clearing out the area now.
The first thing you’ll want to do in this area after defeating the enemies is go to the campfire. Take note of the stairs behind you because they lead to the Whisper.
Activating The Whisper In Rats And Raiders Water Channel
Next, you’ll want to go up the stairs to activate the Whisper in this area. You cannot pull the lever here because you do not have the Sewer Lever Handle item. If you need supplies, I recommend taking a quick trip back to Sacrament to grab some while you’re here.
Next, you’ll need to travel through the lowest section of this area. Follow the path to the left.
Continue traveling to the southwest.
In this next area, you’ll come across two adult Sirens. If you haven’t fought them yet, know that upon death each adult will drop two baby Sirens you’ll need to fight. Head to the southeast after fighting them.
Walking in this direction leads you to a staircase. There will be two infected rats on the platform it leads to. Kill them and head up the wooden ramp on the right corner of the platform.
On this platform, you’ll want to head to the north.
Continue to head north until you spot the blue flame of an item next to a lever. This item will be the Sewer Lever Handle.
Use the Sewer Lever Handle to activate the lever next to you. It will create a bridge leading you back to the campfire.
Use the Sewer Lever Handle to activate lever near the campfire. This lever is connected to a moving platform. To make it to the platform on time, you’ll need to run across the bridge, do a running jump onto the next platform, and run across a thin wooden plank.
Successfully making it onto the platform will give you access to a new ledge with two stone-throwing enemies. Beat them and walk to the right.
Continue to walk until you’re on top of a ledge overlooking an infected Risen soldier and rat. Drop down and kill both.
Walk to the right past where the rat was to find another lever. Use the Sewer Lever Handle to activate it, increasing the water level in the room.
Drop down into the water. Swim to the left and then down to reach an area with a Risen archer and an axe wielder.
Next, climb the ladder and walk to the west.
There will be a doorway here leading you back into the main room.
Finishing the Main Entrance
Pull the lever next to the door to raise the water level in the main room.
Now head south and travel up the stairs to take on an archer and a swordsman. Make sure to kick down the ladder in this area, as it will give you easier access to this area.
Return to the platform in the middle of the water with the Whisper and broken lever. Use the Sewer Lever Handle to extend a bridge to the platform on the right side.
There will be a campfire to the north next to a glowing tunnel.
When you’re ready, enter the tunnel. It’s a bit of a walk, but it will lead you directly to Darak.
