Collectibles are decretive items that can be used to help decorate your base of operations. Basically the church headquarters. We can begin searching for these collectibles after we are done completing a certain mission.
There are 115 collectibles to be found altogether, 82 of which are found in the game world. Whilst the others are part of the story missions, criminal ventures, and wanted missions.
However, despite there being 115 collectibles to be found altogether we actually only need 85 of them to get the trophy achievement. Getting all 85 collectibles will reward you with both the Finders Keepers and The Collector trophy achievements
To find out how many collectibles you currently have just bring up the menu and the collectibles option should be in the bottom row.
There are 82 actual hidden collectibles that are not part of any mission to be found altogether. This page will be focusing on the hidden collectibles that can be found within the El Dorado district. This usually involves having to take photos of specific objects.
EL DORADO COLLECTIBLES LOCATIONS
COLLECTIBLE OBJECT: Calico Queen Sign
COLLECTIBLE SECTION: Wall
DESCRIPTION: Winning at cards like a damn maverick
GUIDE: This is located near a pier. You will notice the strange castle-like pillars that surround the sign.
COLLECTIBLE OBJECT: Fox Tails Sign
COLLECTIBLE SECTION: Dolla dolla bills, y’all!
DESCRIPTION: Wall
GUIDE: Heading south of the calico sign and you should come across a pink building. It is opposite the poker chips.
COLLECTIBLE OBJECT: The Varmint Sign
COLLECTIBLE SECTION: Wall
DESCRIPTION: The house always wins
GUIDE: Head to the El Dorado fast travel and you should be able to notice this large sign on the wall of a tall white building.
COLLECTIBLE OBJECT: Metal Rabbit
COLLECTIBLE SECTION: Large
DESCRIPTION: Looks like Bunny Cash, but sounds like all rabbits, silent.
GUIDE: North of the fast travel there should be a billboard that promotes gambling and casinos, the metal rabbit is just next to it. I think, going by the description, that this is an Easter egg reference to the guitarist Johnny Cash.
COLLECTIBLE OBJECT: Knight
COLLECTIBLE SECTION: Medium
DESCRIPTION: Sir horse-a-lot
GUIDE: Head to the west of El Dorado and you will spot the huge El Dorado sign. Just next to it is a large game of chess. Take a picture of this.
COLLECTIBLE OBJECT: Swan Float
COLLECTIBLE SECTION: Medium
DESCRIPTION: Sit on its back so it stops looking at you
GUIDE: To the south west of El Dorado is a swimming pool area full of water slides and other fun activities. Near the water slides is an empty pool full of debris. At first I thought this was a skate park. Anyway the swan float can be found here.
COLLECTIBLE OBJECT: Shoe Light
COLLECTIBLE SECTION: Medium
DESCRIPTION: It must be Italian
GUIDE: To the west of El Dorado, near the chest set that we took a photo of earlier (Knight). There should be a shoe light on the opposite side of the road.
COLLECTIBLE OBJECT: Gas Pump
COLLECTIBLE SECTION: Medium
DESCRIPTION: A gas pump that predates the automatic shutoff.
GUIDE: South east of El Dorado, near the clothing store, there will be an Auto Service building. Next to this building there will be a Gas Pump
COLLECTIBLE OBJECT: Poker Chips
COLLECTIBLE SECTION: Small
DESCRIPTION: Know when to hold ’em
GUIDE: Head north east of El Dorado and you will come across the Apollo’s Coffee. Just outside the coffee store is the set of poker chips.
