How to Power the Elevator in Tormented Souls 2

In Tormented Souls 2, there are plenty of locked areas, and if you’re not smart enough, you may end up stuck in your run. After picking up the lighter and the Convent map, you’ll find yourself in the North Corridor 1F. There are two inaccessible areas that are yet to be unlocked here, and one of them is the elevator.

The elevator connects the first floor and the basement, but without power, it won’t work. Here’s how to activate the elevator in Tormented Souls 2.

How to Use the Elevator in Tormented Souls 2

The elevator in Tormented Souls 2 can be found in the north corridor on the first floor. When arriving there, it won’t be working since there’s no power.

To fix that, the power needs to be restored. Getting the elevator running is an important step if you want to get the first and second weapons, as well as unlocking the wooden gate that leads to the courtyard and cloister.

To power it up, you need to reach the Lady Chapel, found on the right side of the floor. From the elevator, walk eastward, then southward until you arrive in the Lady Chapel.

After arriving in the Lady Chapel, a short cutscene will play. Once it’s over, the entrance to the room becomes blocked off. Fortunately, there’s nothing to worry about yet. You’ll hear some eerie sounds coming from the Lady Chapel, but rest assured, it’s safe for now.

Move past the blocked pathway and make your way toward the altar. Next to it, there’s a lever. Pull it down to restore power to the elevator. Once the lever has been activated, the lights should flicker back on, signaling that power has been successfully rerouted.

Now, return to the elevator’s location. It should be fully operational this time.

With the elevator, players can now enter the basement which holds the torture museum, crematorium and the workshop. This floor is also where players can obtain their first set of weapons, and meet their first enemies.
