In Where Winds Meet, character creation begins with choosing a gender before customizing the rest of your appearance. The game’s detailed customization tools let players shape their character however they want.
If you’ve already selected a gender but decide to change it later, the game allows it, though it comes with a cost.
Here’s how the gender change system works in Where Winds Meet.
How to Change Genders in Where Winds Meet?
In Where Winds Meet, players can choose between two genders during character creation. If you change your mind later, the game allows you to switch to the other gender. The option is available, but it isn’t free.
To change gender in Where Winds Meet, head to the Shop and open the Items tab. Under Jianghu Treasures, you’ll find an item called the Transformation Pill, priced at 1,280 Echo Beads. This is the only item in the game that enables a gender change, there are no alternative methods, even if you grind for hours. Another important thing to note is that Echo Beads are not obtainable through gameplay.
Echo Beads can only be acquired through real-money top-ups. To get enough for one Transformation Pill, you’ll need to spend roughly 20 USD to purchase 1,280 Echo Beads.
There’s no limit to how many Transformation Pills you can buy, so you’re free to switch genders whenever you want, provided you have the currency.
The good news is that your cosmetics won’t be lost in the process. All existing outfits automatically adjust to your new gender, so everything you own will still be usable after the change.
