Where Winds Meet has twelve martial arts weapons, and if you’re into ranged DPS weapons, the Vernal Umbrella could be the best pick. The Vernal Umbrella is an offensive weapon that can dish out damage from a distance rather than performing melee attacks.
Here’s how to get the Vernal Umbrella weapon in Where Winds Meet.
How to Unlock Vernal Umbrella in Where Winds Meet
Players can unlock the Vernal Umbrella either by obtaining it from Qisheng at the General’s Shrine or through Skill Theft.
For the first option, head to the General’s Shrine in the Qinghe region. Qisheng is an oddity collector, and by submitting oddities to him, he can reward players with a starter weapon. One of these weapons is the Vernal Umbrella.
Using The Skill Theft Method
As for Skill Theft, players will need to unlock Kaifeng and teleport to the Time Tower in Kaifeng City.
Begin the quest by speaking to Wang Ping’an, who is located inside the hut on the right side of the tower. After speaking to him, head back to the Time Tower and go to the second floor to join the banquet. There, players will find Jiang Ting’Er, but to get in, a keepsake must be first handed over to her. This requires finding and solving various different clues
Solving Jiang Ting’Er’s Clues – Hairpin Keepsake
After successfully finding and speaking with Jiang Ting’Er, players will then be teleported downstairs with a set of clues. Use these to find the keepsake. Our first clue involves finding and interacting with a cat
Finding The Grey Tabby Cat
To find the cat and solve the clue you will, first, need to go around to the back of the tower and find the grey tabby cat, which will provide the first clue.
Second Clue – Eavesdropping
After finding the grey tabby cat you will, then, need to solve our next clue. To do this proceed and head to this location. North West of the Kaifeng Suburbs East. Here peek through the octagonal window of the building, and eavesdrop on Yang Zhi
Third Clue – Ladies Gossiping
For the third clue, head back to the tower and walk to the room at the back of the first floor. Observe the two ladies gossiping. Yao Keren will mention the senior sister
Finally, head back to the hut where Wang Ping’an was first found. Jump onto the roof, then hop to the second floor of the Time Tower. Wrap around to the back of the tower and eavesdrop on another pair of women gossiping. This time involving Yin Lian’an
Connecting The Clues
Now that all the clues have been gathered, it’s time to connect them. Take one clue, link it to another, and repeat the process. Here’s how to do it.
- The Wind arrives. Can Messenger be far behind + A Tumi Flower blooms on petal-strained invitation = Where roseleaf raspberries bloom, jade glows with immortal grace
- Guest refused, hairpin returned + No keepsake, no seat at the noble feast = A white jade pin, flawless and sworn
- Where roseleaf raspberries bloom, jade glows with immortal grace + A white jade pin, flawless and sworn = A jade pin still holds the morning dew
- Jade keepsake behind the red gate + Golden latch guards the warehouse = Hairpin keepsake is hidden in the warehouse
- Hairpin keepsake is hidden in the warehouse + A jade pin still holds the morning dew = Hairpin keepsake is hidden in the second-floor warehouse
The answer to this is that the Hairpin keepsake is hidden in the second-floor warehouse. This will teleport players to the second floor of the tower. First, collect the chest and use Celestial Seize to obtain the Warehouse Key near the stairs, then unlock the nearby door with it.
Enter the room and pick up the Bramble Rose Hairpin. Give it to Jiang Ting’er to enter the banquet.
To finally get the Vernal Umbrella in Where Winds Meet, players must perform Skill Theft to obtain the Martial Art. Finish the quest by speaking to Wang Ping’an again.
