Yakuza: Like A Dragon – A Fading Star (Substory/Side Quest) Guide

Yakuza: Like A Dragon has many different side quests or substories that you can try to find and complete, one of which is A Fading Star

This substory / side quest is triggered during Chapter 7 – The Spider’s Web

It involves meeting up with a rather depressed actor

• LOCATION: Isezaki Iljincho, Korea Town
• QUEST GIVER: Eomeoni’s Vow
• CHAPTER: Chapter 7 – The Spider’s Web
• SUBSTORY NUMBER: 25
• PREREQUISITE: 

WALKTHROUGH:

• This substory should be available during the start of Chapter 7 – The Spider’s Web and entering Eomeoni’s Vow
• When you enter the restaurant you will witness a scene involving a drunken man, you will also find out that this drunk is an actor named Il Yu-Jin
• Our next destination is Bar Rodriguez on Bar District

• Here you will witness a poor man being harassed by Il Yu-Jin. Choose to Intervene. This will lead to a fight, Il Yu-Jin seems to be weak to Fire so use that to your advantage
• After the fight, Ichiban will take him to the park in hopes that he sobers up a bit more. By now you should know the man’s name and I have mentioned it enough time by now too, anyway selecting the correct option will reward you with Intellect +10
• Ichiban will then agree to help the guy by getting some water for him. You can get some Suntory Mineral Water for 110yen at any of the Vending Machines, if you are struggling to find a machine then you can find one on Pier Street

• Then with the water in hand return back to the Park and back to Il Yu-Jin for yet another scene
• With newly found inspiration Il Yu-Jin is determined to change and with that our next destination is Isezaki Road

• Here a man will be trying to stir up trouble with pictures he has taken back at Bar Rodriguez, choose to Call Out
• Eventually all of this will lead to a fight, Tsuzuki is rather easy so you shouldn’t have any real problems in dealing with him
• The substory will end after the fight
