Cat Quest II is an action rpg created and developed by the team at Gentlebros.
It is quite a unique game considering the main characters are a loveable cat and dog. In the game you are given the option to either play Solo or 2-player co-op, we only managed to play solo and thus this review will be based on that.
If you too opt to play solo you will be able to control either of the furry duo all at the tap of a button, so no matter which of the adorable duo you pick to play as at the time the other lovable companion will always be around to lend a paw or two, as you venture through mysterious dungeons and vast landscapes in order to bring back peace to the world!

There is no voice acting but this was no issue for us as the adorable animals do have very cute sound effects, depending on what action you plan to take at the time. Which we thought was very adorable and cured us of any any issues that the lack of voice acting briefly gave us.
Hearing the cries of a determined flea bag as they bravely attack the impending foe almost made us die of an overdose of cuteness.

Though we unfortunately have not played Cat Quest before this one, which is probably a bit of a mishap.
We feel we did not really need to necessarily do so in order to fully understand what this game was about, though we may do regardless sometime in the future.
As the story for this one made no hesitation in letting us know about the events of the world and why it is in peril.
This time around through a perhaps usual case of cat versus dog, a sword has been broken and thus unleashing darkness upon the land.

As is tradition with RPG style games these days, there is the ability to improve your overall gear. Which is a rather simple and easy feature to learn and master. One that is also very important if you wish to undertake the various challenges that the game has to offer.
We can also acquire new and exciting weapons and abilities to help aid your furry friends through their adventures!

OVERALL:
This game feels purrfect for those seeking a rather novelty Action RPG experience. If this sounds like you then perhaps this is the woof for you!
Highly adorable, meowtastic experience that is very much recommended for those animal enthusiasts out there!
