Lagniappe Locations in Chapters 1 & 2 of Alone in the Dark (2024)

The Lagniappe is the main form of collectibles in the Alone in the Dark 2024 remake. The game has a total of 45 Lagniappes making up 15 sets, so it can be hard to find them all while completing the game. This can unlock the Don’t Mind If I Do and Look At All The Free Stuff I Got achievements.

In this guide, I’ll show you where all of the Lagniappes are hidden in chapters 1 and 2. You can also check out the collectibles that are found in chapter 3

All Chapter 1 Lagniappes in Alone in the Dark 2024

In total, there are 5 Lagniappes that can be found in Chapter 1. If you missed one here, don’t worry. All collected Lagniappes are shared between save files, so you can replay Chapter 1 on a new save and grab them quickly. You’ll want to find the Lagniappes from the Lost Children set in particular, as they give you access to the Shotgun.

Rat Poison

Set: A Great Depression

Character: Emily and Edward

The Rat Poison is found in the corner of the Pantry by both Emily and Edward. Players can find the Pantry by entering the closed door on the right side of the Kitchen.

Streetcar Ticket

Set: The Crescent City

Character: Emily and Edward

The Streetcar Ticket is found in the Food and Wine Cellar, which is located to the right after exiting the Kitchen. It can be found on a clipboard on a shelf in the back.

Rubber Stamp

Set: Lost Children

Character: Emily and Edward

The Rubber Stamp is located on the shelf in the Reception room next to the bell for the Clerk’s Office.

Preserved Reptile

Set: A Goat Without Horns

Character: Emily and Edward

The Preserved Reptile can be picked up from the floor of the Corner Store after meeting Batiste as Emily. Those playing as Edward will find it on the nearby table.

Ju-Ju

The Ju-Ju can be found on the second floor of the courtyard outside of Miss Jackson’s place. As soon as you go up the stairs, turn right to see it on a stool.

All Chapter 2 Lagniappes in Alone in the Dark 2024

Chapter 2 contains 13 Lagniappes. I’ll go over each one in the order that I found them here.

Rorschach Lagniappe

Lagniappe Set: When It Makes You Worse

The Rorschach is found on one of the back shelves in the Clerk’s Office.

Fountain Pen

Set: Lost Children

Character: Edward and Emily

The Fountain Pen is found on the small table in Batiste’s room.

Nurse’s Watch Lagniappe

Lagniappe Set: A Thousand Young

The Nurse’s Watch can be picked up from the windowsill in Lottie’s room after shutting the window.

A Brightness From Afar

Set: Vagabonds

Character: Edward and Emily

For those playing Emily, A Brightness from Afar can be grabbed from the library after completing the Astronomical Clock puzzle. It rests on the table near where Ruth sat. Edward players will be able to find it later on in the Mezzanine. After having a conversation with Ruth, return later to find the book on the table she was sitting at.

Mummified Cat Lagniappe

Lagniappe Set: Beast of Burden

Character: Edward and Emily

The Mummified Cat can be found in front of the Statue in the Kitchen Garden after witnessing the maid’s ritual.

Discarded Palette

Set: The Hartwood Curse

Character: Edward and Emily

The Discarded Palette is hidden in a chest on the second floor of the boathouse in the Hateful Mound area. At the exit of the boathouse, there is a small gap you can slide through. Open the chest in this corner of the boathouse to grab the Discarded Palette.

Gazing Statuette

Set: Beast of Burden

Character: Edward and Emily

After exiting the boathouse and breaking down the red barrier, cross the bridge and head to the house on the far left. Shimmy past the left side to find the house’s door. Defeat the enemy inside and grab the Gazing Statuette.

Dog Collar

Set: Lost Children

Character: Edward and Emily

The Dog Collar is found in the Drawing Room on the small table in front of the window.

Beignet

Set: A Great Depression

Character: Edward and Emily

The Beignet Lagniappe is found on the second floor of the Mezzanine. Walk to the left side of the hallway and interact with a plate of beignets to pick it up.

Syringe

Set: A Great Depression

Character: Edward and Emily

The Syringe is found on the floor of the first floor of the Mezzanine. Emily finds this after an interaction with Grace, while Edward finds it lying on the floor.

Jack in the Box Lagniappe

Lagniappe Set: When It Makes You Worse

The Jack in the Box rests unopened on a chair in the corner of Grace’s Room. Open the box and let it pop while you explore the rest of the room. When the Jack in the Box is done, it can be picked up.

Forsaken Crucifix Lagniappe

Character: Edward and Emily

The Forsaken Crucifix is found on one of the wine shelves in the Wine Cellar. It’s to the left of the electrified puddle when working through the boiler puzzle.

Sheet Music Lagniappe

Lagniappe Set: Dying with Dignity

Character: Edward and Emily

After surviving the chase scene and picking up the Sacrifice Medallion, head through gap in the wall on the right. There will be a hole in the wall on the left that you can shimmy through. Enter here and pick up the Sheet Music from a small table. Lets roll on to chapter 3
