The 2024 release of Alone in the Dark has 3 main guns for the player to use. Each gun can be used to gather its own weapon achievements. I’ll go over each achievement in this guide, plus how to get all three guns.
These weapon achievements include; Now You’re On The Trolley, Come At Me!, Hard Boiled, Gangster, and Watch Out Where You’re Waving That Thing. There are 5 achievements in total.
Completing the “Now You’re On the Trolley” Achievement
“Now You’re On The Trolley” is one of the easiest achievements to unlock in the Alone in the Dark 2024 remake. It can be obtained simply by killing an enemy with the pistol you start the game with. Meaning you will likely unlock it by casually playing. As normal.
Completing the “Come At Me!” Achievement
The Come At Me! achievement in Alone in the Dark 2024 requires players to kill an enemy with a melee weapon. In the game, this includes items like axes, pipes, and shovels. The first place to find one is in the alleyway between the Corner Store and Miss Jackson’s place.
After picking one up, PC players can press or hold “F” to swing their melee weapon at enemies. Just be careful, as these weapons will break after several uses.
Completing the “Hard Boiled” Weapon Achievement in Alone in the Dark
The “Hard Boiled” achievement requires players to kill an enemy with the Shotgun. While the actual process of killing an enemy is easy, actually getting the Shotgun will take the most work.
How to Get the Shotgun in Alone in the Dark 2024
The Shotgun can only be unlocked by gathering all three Lagniappes in the “Lost Children” set. I go into depth on all of the Lagniappes in Lagniappe Location article. However, the three items in the “Lost Children” set can be found in the following locations:
- The Fountain Pen – Batiste’s room
- The Rubber Stamp – Reception room
- The Dog Caller – Drawing Room
Once all three Lagniappes have been gathered, the case around the Shotgun will disappear.
It can then be grabbed from it’s spot on the wall and added to your inventory.
How to Equip the Shotgun
Controller players will be able to use the D-Pad on their controller to equip the Shotgun. The control for this is shown on the bottom left of the screen.
PC players can equip the Shotgun by pressing “2” on their keyboard. To put it away, press “2” again. To pull your pistol out while holding the Shotgun, press “1”.
Completing the “Gangster” Weapon Achievement in Alone in the Dark
To get the “Gangster” achievement, you’ll need to kill an enemy with the Tommy Gun. However, to do so you’ll need to first unlock the Tommy Gun.
How to Get the Tommy Gun in Alone in the Dark 2024
The Tommy Gun is found in the Pregtz Shipping warehouse at the beginning of Chapter 3. After exiting the sewer into the warehouse, go up the nearby stairs. Go around the second floor and enter the room at the end. The Tommy Gun will be laying on top of the counter in the room.
How to Equip the Tommy Gun in Alone in the Dark
Console players can equip the Tommy Gun with the D-Pad control shown in the lower left corner of the screen. PC players can equip the gun by pressing the “3” key.
Completing the “Watch Out Where You’re Waving That Thing” Weapon Achievement
The Watch Out Where You’re Waving That Thing hidden achievement requires you to aim one of your weapons at any of the human NPCs in the game. Another simple one really.
This concludes all of the Alone in the Dark 2024 weapon achievements. Which, as mentioned before, includes a total of 5 achievements such as; Now You’re On The Trolley, Come At Me!, Hard Boiled, Gangster, and Watch Out Where You’re Waving That Thing.
