“What Just Happened?” is a special achievement coming from a secret unlockable objective in Alone in the Dark 2024. In this guide, I’ll explain how to unlock the objective, get the achievement, and the secret ending it provides.
How to Get the “Grace Without Horns” Secret Objective in Alone in the Dark (2024)
In order to get the “Grace Without Horns” objective, you’ll need to complete the “All The World’s A Stage” Lagniappe set. We explain where to find each Lagniappe in detail in our Chapters 1 and 2, Chapter 3, and Chapter 4 guides.
How to Finish the “All The World’s A Stage” Lagniappe Set
“All The World’s A Stage” is made up of three Lagniappes from Chapter 4. Gathering all three will require you to complete Chapter 4 as both Edward and Emily.
The locations of each Lagniappe are as follows:
- Box of Biscuits – Found by Emily in the tunnels of the infirmary after leaving France 1818 in Chapter 4. After fixing the lights, it will be found on a desk in a corner of the room.
- Curious Napkin – Found by Edward in the French Quarters in Chapter 4. After leaving the park and entering the hotel door, the Curious Napkin will be on a table to the right of the door.
- Toy Talisman – Found by either Edward or Emily at the end of Chapter 4 in Dr. Gray’s apartment. It will be right in front of the door.
Completing “What Just Happened?” and Getting the Secret Ending
After collecting the “All The World’s A Stage” set, continue through Chapter 4 as normal. When you get to Chapter 5, don’t choose to wait for Edward or Emily by the fountain. Instead, walk up to Grace. Interact with her to get the option to give her something to play with.
Select “Accept” to give her the Toy Talisman. This will take you to the secret ending, after which you’ll unlock the “What Just Happened?” Achievement.
I much prefer this ending to the others, but you’ll want to play all of the available endings to get all of the achievements. This includes playing the regular ending as both Emily and Edward. Doing it with Emily gives you the “Safe and Sound” achievement, while completing it with Edward gives you the “Case Closed” achievement.
