Death Spiral is another lost journal entry. This one is connected to Surviving & Thriving category of journal entries. Which fits under the Life In Hell-A topic.
Once the journal entries have been found and collected they can then be viewed by going into the ‘Collectibles’ menu and then scrolling over to the ‘Journals’ section.

DEATH SPIRAL
Otherwise known as Survivng & Thriving is a 9 set journal series that goes into detail about how the zombies managed to overrun the Halparin Hotel. At the automated hotel telephone tries to advertise the establishment. In the background are a bunch of zombie cries and moans.
Was someone trying to get in contact with the hotel? If so did they get attacked by these zombies in the process? Who exactly managed to get in contact with the business establishment in the first place? Perhaps zombies were trying to find some accommodation? That last one was clearly a joke.
Who knows but it sounds very creepy. This is one of the first few that also comes with an audio journal too as it is connected to the telephone at the reception desk of the hotel. Alternatively though, if you are like me and completely disregarded this at first. Being one of the first to have audio. There is a written section that just tells you what you would have heard if you would rather read it instead.
NOTES
To be fair this is a relatively easy journal discovery. Which can be found as soon as you enter the hotel. Anyway this concludes the location to the Death Spiral journal entry.
Whilst in this area we can also locate another journal entry. One known as the Wedding Invitation. Which is part of the Angelenos section of The Beforetimes.
