In this Eternal Strands The Veil Walkthrough, we’re covering the prologue of Yellow Brick Games’s latest installment. The prologue is full of action and magic as you take control of Brynn and fight your way through various enemies. This section of the game serves as a tutorial, teaching you different mechanics, from combat to stamina. Read on to begin your journey through The Veil.
Learning the Mechanics
The game starts you off in a forest, where you’re taught how to sprint, attack, block, dodge-roll, and use your bow. Simply follow the path through the forest and do as the tutorials say to get a feel of the game. The most important thing here is keeping an eye on your stamina bar. Pretty much everything you do, from running to fighting to climbing, uses stamina. If you run out of stamina, your character can’t evade attacks as easily. You also risk falling if you’re in the process of climbing.
Along the way, you also run into Tangles, spots of magic that can do damage if you come into contact with it. Make sure to pick up resources and Vitality Flasks to replenish your HP as you explore.
Enter the Cave In The Veil – Eternal Strands
You’ll eventually come to a wall that will require stamina to climb. Once you’re at the top, enter the cave and follow the waypoints. Inside the cave, you’ll run into an enemy, the Acala, where you can put all you’ve learned to the test.
After defeating the Acala, you’ll learn how to use Ice Wall. Use it to get through the wall of fire in your way.
Defeat Enemies with Ice Wall
Once past the fire, continue on. You’ll run into more enemies that attack with fireballs. You can use Ice Wall on them to freeze and attack them. After you’ve gotten past the enemies, you’ll run into another wall of force that you can use Ice Wall on. Continue along the path until you meet Ashpeak Drake, who you’re forced to fight. This is a battle you’re meant to lose, so let your HP drop to 0 to continue the story.
After this, you’ll meet new characters and you can select dialogue options. Dialogue here has no impact on the story, so select the choices that you feel fit your character the best.
