Reigning Champion is an Eternal Strands trophy that requires you to complete the Trial of the Seven Mantles codex. Let’s see where the elusive codex fragments are hiding!
Eternal Strands Reigning Champion Trophy Guide
The trophy is worth 20 points. You need Kinetic Stream strand level 3 to acquire the codex fragments. To upgrade the spell, you must harvest and defeat the Surgeborn Herald. Once you have upgraded the strand, you can begin the search for the fragments.
The fragments for the Trial of the Seven Mantles codex are:
- Thin Striped Gauze.
- Pale Blue Gauze.
- Faded Azure Gauze.
- Pale Grey Gauze.
The availability of the areas in which you find the fragments depends on your progress in the main campaign.
How to Collect the Thin Striped Gauze in Glintwood Hollow
Take the Sodden Pass loomgate. Use the Kinetic Stream spell to climb the first rock. Once you get on top, look around and identify the highest peak. Use the strand to reach it. The fragment is in midair over the gap. Jump over the gap and prepare to collect the codex fragment before landing.
How to Collect the Pale Blue Gauze in Upper Dynevron
Take the Riverside loomgate. Jump across the gap and land on the grass-covered island. Look around and notice the island with the tree. Aim the Kinetic Stream above the tree towards the fragment. Jump and collect the fragment just before you land at the base of the tree.
How to Collect the Faded Azure Gauze in Lower Dynevron
Take the Undergreen loomgate. Make the first jump towards the platform/island with the tree. Turn around after landing and spot the tower in the distance. Make another jump to reach the platform in the direction of the tower. Jump one more time and land on the island with the tower. The fragment is on the ledge near the sword.
How to Collect the Pale Grey Gauze in The Bastion
Take the Keep loomgate. The fragment is in midair. You can grab it while jumping towards the platform with the tower. Be careful as you might take some falling damage.
How to Assemble the Codex and Unlock the Reigning Champion Trophy
Once you have all four codex fragments, return to the camp. Go to Laen and access the Codex Compiling menu to put together the Trial of the Seven Mantles codex.
The codex is now complete and you will unlock this rare achievement.
