Who Smelt It Trophy Guide
This Bronze achievement is worth 10 points. It’s a rare trophy, meaning that few players have completed it. The description says that Brynn must break a Serenite ore, so the first step is to find one.
Serenite Ore Location
You can find this ore in the first game area, however, getting to it it’s a bit tricky. You need to access a hidden location in Glintwood Hollow. The recommendation is to wait until you reach Upper Dynevron, the third game area. Serenite is more common in Upper Dynevron.
Take the Riverside Loomgate in Upper Dynevron. To your left, you will see the river. Run along the ledge towards the river. As you get close to the blue structure, you can notice the red-purple Serenite ore.
How to Unlock the Who Smelt It Trophy
You will need a Heat-based spell to unlock the trophy. Select the Ember’s Servant or Drake’s Breath strand. Ember’s Servant drops after defeating the Ark of the Living Flame. The Drake’s Breath spell comes from the Ashpeak Drake. The spell level is not important. As long as you have one of the two spells, you can get the achievement.
Get close to the ore and use your Heat-based strand of choice on it. Doing this will apply the Heat-crystallized status to it. However, the surroundings will catch fire as well. Make sure you don’t stand in it.
Walk away and come back after the fire is gone. There might be some enemies nearby. You can pass the time killing them. Don’t wait for too long because the rock might cool off and you will have to repeat the process. You can tell that rock has cooled off if it is no longer glowing red. As long as the ore is red, you can get the trophy.
Approach the glowing ore, take out your sword, and hit it a couple of times. It will take a couple of hits until it breaks, awarding you with the achievement.
The material extracted from a heat-crystallized Serenite is Refined Serenite. This crafting material is also harvested from the Ark of the Living Flame if you break the resource spots before killing the boss. Brynn needs Refined Serenite to craft a quest item needed for The Lost City story mission.
