Harvest Strands From A Boss – Eternal Strands
To unlock new Strands and upgrades, you first after to Harvest a boss. This is different from defeating one and can be tricky. You have to strip the armor from the boss and find its weak point. Once you’ve located that, you can Harvest the Strand. You have to do this before killing the boss. The game shows you how to do this during the Loomsgate mission, where you have to defeat and Harvest a Strand from the Ark of the Stricken Earth to get the Ensnaring Blast Strand.
Keep in mind that you have to defeat the enemy related to the Strand. By finding similar enemies, you can upgrade your Strands until they’re maxed out. After that, you can still kill similar bosses but they aren’t worth the work of Harvesting because you can’t use the Strand.
Speak with Dahm To Upgrade Strands
Once you have the Stand, go to camp and speak to Dahm to upgrade or unlock new Strands. When hovering over a power, you can see the requirements for each upgrade, such as the Strand and what level Dahm’s Atelier needs to be. To upgrade your power to Level three, you also need to upgrade Dahm’s Atelier station by speaking to Casmyr. The upgrade becomes available after you’ve started exploring Upper Dnevron.
