In this Eternal Strands Blazing A Trail Walkthrough, we’re covering the first mission of the game. For this mission, you’ll head to Glintwood Hollow to search for a Loomgate and a Great Ark. It’s a pretty simple and straightforward mission that introduces you to the world and the first region in the game. Continue on to learn about your objectives and where to find them.
Speak to Oria In Blazing A Trail – Eternal Strands
After the prologue, you have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with your camp, companions, and the skills they bring to the table. Once you’ve done that, speak to Oria near the Loomgate to start the first mission, Blazing A Trail. Accept it and then head to the east exit to leave camp and begin the mission.
Find the Second Loomgate
The first mission takes you to Glintwood Hollow, the first region of the game. It’s broken into multiple subregions that you can explore, but you have two objectives here: Look for a second Loomgate and find a Great Ark.
To find the Loomgate, head north toward Feller’s Arch. Along the way, you’ll face smaller enemies, and find resources and Codex Entries. When you reach Feller’s Arch, follow the winding stairs all the way up. Interact with the Loomgate to unlock the fast travel point.
Find the Great Ark
Next, you need to find the Great Ark, which is located in the Collapsed Mine subregion. This is on the east side of the map. The Great Ark is a giant creature wandering in the field in this area. When you find it, climb to the top and interact with the shoulder. This completes the second objective, which doubles as a scouting expedition.
Here you’ll also learn about the waypoint markers called Wisp. These can help you navigate. Oria will tell you about a hidden door that will take you back to camp. Find the door and then speak to Oria to finish the mission.
