How to Start and Complete the Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave Monster in the Night Side Quest
The Monster in the Night is a unique side quest that is part of Leda’s Path. The quest will not trigger when playing another character. You will come across this quest in Chapter 5:Women at Battle. Early into Chapter 5, you can talk to the Merchant NPC and learn that a monster is causing destruction at the market.
How to Find Phantom
The trouble with this quest is that the information you get from the quest giver and the quest description is wrong.
Both state that the monster comes out at night, but that’s not exactly accurate. Roaming around the market stalls during the night searching for the monster is a waste of time. The monster actually appears at 18:00. If you want to complete the Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave Monster in the Night quest right away, go to the inn and do some auto-activities until 18:00. Then, go to the City Streets area and search for the monster in the alley on the eastern side of the map.
Phantom is actually a demonic beast, but don’t let that scare you. The beast doesn’t have any special attacks. Link your attacks for extra damage and you’ll easily defeat it.
The Merchant NPC spawns only during the day, so you have to wait until you can complete the quest. Return to the quest giver and collect 1500 gold and 100 renown for your trouble.
